The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short. When the cherry blossom trees bloom for a short time each year in brilliant force, they serve as a visual reminder of how

precious and how precarious life is. To me, cherry blossoms are symbolic of the prenatal and birth process and this is why Cherry Blossom Doula Services was created. Services offered:

Seven beautiful July babies joined us this month. Welcome, little ones! 🤗

Things were quieter around here in July, and that was very much intentional. We took time off to rest and fill our cups so that we can head into the rest of the year ready to love on our fall and winter families.

Six things to know about c-section recovery before you’re home from the hospital. 🤍

Cesarean recovery is major surgery recovery. Your body needs rest, protein, water, and most of all, support. Healing isn’t about pushing through the pain. It’s about letting your village show up for you when you need it most. And, believe us, you need it for a cesarean birth.

Join the Cherry Blossom postpartum team for our quarterly hands-on Newborn Care Class, open to the whole community! You’ll practice diapering, bathing, and soothing, learn feeding basics and safe sleep guidelines, and get answers to all those “is this normal?” questions in a supportive, judgment-free space.

Whether you’re a first-time parent or just need a refresher, you’ll leave feeling prepared, confident, and ready for baby.

If you were looking for a sign, this is it. ‼️

Postpartum was never meant to be done alone. Motherhood wasn’t meant to be done alone.

Babies are asleep. Bottles are washed. The sink is empty. Mama is finally enjoying a hot shower.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference:
✨ An extra set of hands.
✨ A warm hug.
✨ Adult conversation.
✨ A clean kitchen.
✨ Time to simply breathe.

Postpartum support isn’t about doing it all for you, it’s about making sure you’re supported while you care for your baby. Because when a mother is cared for, the whole family benefits.
