Reverse the effects of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for yourself or someone you love.
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involve areas of the brain that regulate cognition, multitasking, emotion, planning and critical thinking. Visual and auditory processing is involved in these disorders, as is balance and coordination.
This disorder inhibits learning in children and significantly affects adult behavior. The cerebellum (part of the brain that coordinates function) coordinates all of the areas that function aberrently in ADD/ADHD.
The key to GNI’s Success is Research.
Tracking clinical success or failure enables creative development of new therapies. GNI asks the following questions.
Do therapies really make a difference?
If they don’t, why don’t they?
Is it possible to change the therapy and achieve therapeutic success?
From 2009 to 2010 our research assessed various rehabilitative therapies and found much of it ineffective. Patients with poor balance and coordination did not improve. As a result, Dr. Gifford conducted extensive research and developed a new program.
GNI’s proprietary therapy, the Cerebellum Motor Coordination Rehabilitation Program© (CMCRP), has bee shown to restore all aspects of cerebellum function, including balance.
GNI clinical research from 2009 to 2014 showed that CMCRP significantly improved cognition and balance and coordination. These results included reversal of dementia by 15.73% and improved balance and coordination by 28.64% in a group of 64 senior adults, average age 85. These changes improved participants’ quality of life significantly. It was also observed that age affects the rate of change.
Younger patients improved faster and greater than older patients. Future GNI research will assess academic dysfunction and the influence of cerebellar rehabilitation.
For example: After 18 months of physiotherapy, a 90 year old patient could not stand with his feet together for 3 seconds. Each time he tried he would lose balance and had to be caught to avoid falling. Dr. Gifford sought to understand why therapy didn’t work. Neuro-anatomic and neuro-functional analysis by Dr. Gifford revealed therapeutic deficiencies that caused failure to improve brain function. Dr. Gifford developed new therapy and researched its effectiveness on this patient. Within 2 weeks the patient was able to stand with his feet together without wobbling or falling! Since then, large groups of senior adults have been treated and the results are equally as dramatic.
