Don't forget the sunscreen!

Roughly 80 percent of sunscreens on the market don’t work as they should or contain concerning ingredients. Here’s what experts say to look for when buying sunscreen.

One of the hardest parts of grief is learning to walk forward without the person you love beside you. At first, every step feels lonely.

But over time, I've come to realize something beautiful.

Melanie still walks with me.

Not in the way I wish she could—but in the countless ways she shaped my heart. I hear her in familiar phrases. I see her kindness reflected in moments with others. I carry the lessons she taught me, the memories we shared, and the love that will always be part of who I am.

Our loved ones leave footprints that time cannot erase.

If you've lost someone dear, perhaps you've experienced this too. Their physical presence may be gone, but the love they gave continues to walk beside you every single day.

They may no longer walk beside us, but they will always walk within us. 💜

One of the hardest parts of grief is the constant awareness of who should be here.

Sometimes it happens at a holiday gathering.

Sometimes it's around a dinner table.

Sometimes it's at a graduation, a wedding, a birthday, or a family vacation.

You look around and immediately notice the space.

The seat that should be filled.

The voice that should be part of the conversation.

The laugh that should still be heard.

Others may not notice it, but grieving hearts almost always do.

We become aware not only of the person we lost, but of the role they played in our lives. Their presence shaped family traditions, relationships, celebrations, and ordinary moments. When they're gone, the empty space often feels larger than anyone else can see.

Over time, we learn how to gather again. We learn how to celebrate again. We learn how to make new memories.

But that doesn't mean we stop noticing the empty chair.

It simply becomes part of the story we carry.

And while the chair may remain empty, the love connected to it never does.

Love has a way of lingering in the spaces people once occupied. It shows up in stories, photographs, traditions, and memories that continue to connect us.

Some chairs stay empty.

But some hearts stay full. 💜

Grief teaches us to sit with silence.

Not every wound needs words.

Sometimes healing happens in quiet moments—in a sunrise, a walk, a prayer, or simply sitting still with our thoughts.

The silence may never feel easy, but over time it can become a place where memories gently meet us.💜

There are locations that hold stories.

A favorite restaurant, a beach vacation spot, a ball field, a family home.

Certain places become sacred because of the memories attached to them.

Returning can bring both comfort and pain.

That's part of loving someone whose presence changed your life.

During our recent family trip to Bermuda I thought of my girl many times ...

This was one of our favorite places to visit together. So many memories of times past.

This visit I remembered with more smiles than tears. More joy than sadness.

Our memories and stories become scars that tell of our strength and resilience. 💜

When you're grieving, hope doesn't always arrive as a bright sunrise.

Sometimes it's just a tiny spark that whispers, "Keep going."

It helps us take the next breath when our hearts are heavy.

The next step when the path ahead feels uncertain.

The next day when we aren’t sure how we’ll make it through.

And often, that little bit of hope is enough to carry you through the darkest days until you reach the light.

Don't underestimate the power of hope.

It may be small, but it is strong. 💜

The world often assumes that time should remove the pain. But grief doesn't follow a calendar.

Some days still hurt, even years later.

That doesn't mean you're moving backward.

It simply means your heart remembers someone who mattered deeply.

There is no expiration date on love...

And there is no timeline for missing someone.💜
