We’re proud to reflect on a meaningful week at the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) Nursing & Rehabilitation Conference in West Palm Beach, where Ernest Health connected with rehabilitation professionals & nurse leaders from across the country to share best practices, learn from one another & advance rehabilitation nursing.

🏥 Expanding access to rehabilitation care in Southern New Mexico

Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico in Las Cruces, NM has completed facility enhancements that increase its capacity from 40 to 60 private patient rooms—helping more individuals in Las Cruces and surrounding communities' access specialized inpatient rehabilitation close to home.

The expansion is expected to allow the hospital to serve more than 1,000 patients annually, including individuals recovering from injuries, illnesses, neurological conditions, and other complex medical needs.

Along with additional capacity, the hospital has introduced the innovative Rise&Walk® gait-training system to support patients with neurological and mobility impairments as they work toward greater strength, mobility, and independence.

With a 6,000-square-foot therapy gym, advanced rehabilitation technology, and an interdisciplinary care team, Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico remains focused on helping patients maximize recovery and return to the lives they love.

Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital is expanding to serve more patients—adding 16 new beds and increasing capacity by nearly 46%, all while enhancing therapy spaces to support recovery and independence. Big news for Bloomington, Indiana! 🏥✨

Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital has announced plans for a major expansion—bringing more access to high-quality, specialized care right where it’s needed most. With construction expected to begin in late 2026 and completion anticipated in late 2027, this project will add 10–12 inpatient rehabilitation beds, increasing total capacity to more than 50 beds.

“As demand for post-acute care continues to grow, this expansion ensures patients can receive the care they need close to home,” said Jake Socha, President/CEO of Ernest Health.

The project will include a new patient care unit, additional space, and expanded resources to support patients recovering from complex conditions—all while maintaining the exceptional care the hospital is known for.
