One of our units, 7 East, shows their appreciation for their team's hard work with Team Member of the Quarter! Quita Black, Registered Nurse, was recently honored with this award. 🏆

Her team had the following to say about working with her: "Quita is the mother nurse of the unit. She takes everyone under her wing. New hires look up to her for guidance, and they love the way she takes the time to explain the 'whys.' She will answer their questions but will also ask them the appropriate questions for them to work independently and become confident in critical thinking." 👏

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy operates in conjunction with East Jefferson General Hospital’s existing wound care, which provides outpatient services to people with chronic or difficult to heal wounds. Hyperbaric medicine, also known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), is the medical use of concentrated oxygen at levels higher than atmospheric pressure.
