Hi! My name is Sadie and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist from Lake Charles, Louisiana. I earned my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where I discovered my passion for early intervention and working closely with children and their families. I’m so excited to be part of the Bright Start team!

I have experience working with children with receptive and expressive language delays, speech sound disorders, hearing loss, feeding and swallowing difficulties, social communication challenges, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I have also worked with children with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and a variety of genetic disorders in home, school, and clinic settings.

I am passionate about helping children and families build meaningful communication skills that support confidence, connection, and participation in everyday life through individualized, play based therapy!!

Hi! My name is Alyson, and I am a recent graduate of Faulkner University with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I am excited to begin my clinical fellowship with Bright Start and continue pursuing my passion for helping children become confident, successful communicators.

I have experience working with individuals of all ages in both outpatient and school-based settings. Through my clinical training, I discovered a passion for pediatric therapy and love creating engaging, meaningful sessions that allow children to learn through play, connection, and positive experiences. I enjoy incorporating books, interactive activities, and play-based learning into therapy to help children stay motivated, engaged, and excited to communicate.

My clinical experience includes working with children with speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, social communication challenges, and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). I am passionate about meeting each child where they are and tailoring therapy to their individual strengths, interests, and goals. I also hope to continue expanding my knowledge and clinical experience in pediatric feeding therapy as I grow throughout my clinical fellowship.

I am so excited to work alongside your child as they build communication skills, confidence, and independence!

Hi! My name is Lilly Falgout, and I was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and earned my Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. I am very passionate about the field of Speech-Language Pathology and strive to address each client’s speech and language needs. My clinical experience includes working with children with expressive and receptive language delays, articulation disorders, hearing loss, feeding and swallowing disorders, social communication challenges, fluency disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs, as well as special populations including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. I am committed to providing individualized, evidence-based therapy in a supportive and encouraging environment. I value building meaningful relationships with families and believe collaboration is such an important part of helping each child grow. Supporting each client and their family every step of the way is my number one priority, and I am so excited to do this as a part of the Bright Start team!

My name is Mykah, and I recently graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans with my Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have experience working with children in early speech and language, school-aged language, picky eating/feeding, and early literacy skills. I am passionate about childhood apraxia of speech, feeding, and promoting functional communication skills! I believe therapy should be fun, engaging, and meaningful for each child. Not only do I love incorporating child-led play, books, and everyday routines into sessions, but I also enjoy collaborating closely with families and caregivers to help children build confidence and communication skills in their natural environments. I have always had a love for the pediatric population and feel incredibly blessed to be part of your child’s journey. I can’t wait to get to know your kiddo and support your family along the way!

Hi! My name is Amy, and I received my Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2017. Since then, I have gained experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, working with children of all ages to support and strengthen their communication skills.

I have worked with children who present with expressive and receptive language delays, speech sound disorders, fluency differences, and those who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) across both school and outpatient settings. Though I have gained invaluable experience working with a wide range of pediatric speech and language differences, I am most passionate about early childhood language development.

I am driven in my provision of neurodiversity-affirming care, and my therapeutic approach is child-led, strength-based, and relationship-centered, with a focus on supporting each child’s autonomy, confidence, and overall communication success.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and my four-year-old son. We enjoy walking and biking together around Bayou St. John and City Park, not far from where we live.
