After experiencing the loss of her first pregnancy, Amber Sullivan wasn’t sure how she would move forward. What she found at Lakeside Hospital was compassionate care and reassurance from a clinical team that supported her every step of the way.

Amber credits Dr. Amy Grace, an OB/GYN at Lakeside Hospital and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine, and the Women and Newborn team for helping her heal after pregnancy loss, then guiding her through a healthy pregnancy with her son, Jack.

“I didn’t feel like a number at Lakeside,” Amber shared. “Dr. Grace made getting pregnant again not scary.”

Today, Jack is a happy, energetic toddler who loves dancing, coloring and making everyone laugh.

Amber’s story reflects the compassionate, patient-centered approach that continues to define care at Lakeside Hospital as LCMC Health expands Women and Newborn services for families across the region.
