DELOAD WEEK 💪➡️ RECOVERY = RESULTS

Not every week is meant to crush you.

This picture is exactly what a strength cycle is about: showing up, putting in the work, and understanding that progress isn’t made by going hard every single day—it’s made by training smart.

Why do we have deload weeks?

Because your body adapts during recovery.

After weeks of building intensity, volume, and fatigue, a deload week gives the body a chance to:
✅ Recover joints, muscles, and the nervous system
✅ Improve movement quality and technique
✅ Reduce fatigue so strength can actually express itself
✅ Prepare for PR week feeling fresh instead of burnt out

Think of it like taking one step back so you can take three forward.

Lighter weight doesn’t mean less progress. Sometimes the smartest athletes are the ones willing to pull back so they can come back stronger.

💬 Why Do We Start Every Class With a Whiteboard Brief?

The whiteboard brief is much more than just asking a fun question to break the ice.

It’s our opportunity to bring everyone together before the work begins.

During the brief, we explain the workout, discuss the intended stimulus, review movement standards, and make sure everyone understands the goal for the day. It’s also where we share important gym announcements, upcoming events, and anything else our community needs to know.

And yes—sometimes we’ll throw in a fun question or conversation starter. That’s because fitness is about more than reps and rounds. Building relationships and creating a welcoming environment is part of what makes our community special.

A great class starts before the clock ever begins. The whiteboard brief helps us prepare mentally, connect with each other, and walk into the workout with confidence and purpose.

So next time you’re standing around the whiteboard, know that you’re not just waiting to work out—you’re getting set up for success.

🏋️ Strength Cycle Update 🏋️

We’re officially in Week 5 of our 7-week strength cycle, and the hard work is showing. Every rep, every set, and every class has been building toward one goal: getting stronger.

Next week, we’ll be entering a deload week. A deload isn’t about taking it easy—it’s about allowing the body to recover, adapt, and absorb all the work we’ve put in over the past several weeks. Recovery is just as important as training when it comes to long-term progress.

After our deload, it’s time to put our strength to the test during PR Week, where we’ll be working up to a 3-Rep Max Back Squat. 💪

Trust the process. Stay consistent. Recover well. Then get ready to see what all your hard work has earned.

Most people don’t need harder workouts.
They need smarter programming.

Every workout should have a purpose.
Not just sweat. Not just exhaustion. Not just “feeling smoked.”

The best results come from applying the right stimulus at the right time:
• Strength days build force and muscle
• Conditioning days improve endurance and recovery
• Speed and agility work develops athleticism
• Recovery sessions allow adaptation and growth

When everything is high intensity all the time, progress eventually stalls.
Too much fatigue.
Too little intention.

Structured programming creates:
✔️ Progressive overload
✔️ Better recovery
✔️ Reduced injury risk
✔️ Measurable progress
✔️ Long-term consistency

Random workouts create random results.

Train with intention.
Train with purpose.
The goal isn’t to survive the workout — it’s to adapt from it.

Meet You Where You Are. Challenge You to Get Better.

One of the biggest misconceptions about group training is that everyone is expected to do the exact same workout.

That’s not how we do things in the Training Room.

Every workout we program includes two options:

Option 1: The prescribed version of the workout for those ready for a greater challenge.

Option 2: A scaled version of the same workout that targets the same muscles, movement patterns, and intended stimulus—just adjusted to fit the athlete.

And scaling doesn’t mean easy. It means appropriate.

Whether you’re doing pull-ups, band-assisted pull-ups, ring rows, box squats, or barbell squats, the goal is the same: move well, get stronger, and make progress.

To make the transition even easier, every new member receives a Movement Scaling Guide in their welcome package. This includes alternative options for every common movement we use so you always know how to modify a workout based on your current ability level, mobility, or experience.

No matter where you’re starting, we’ll help you find the right challenge for you.

Because the best workout isn’t the hardest workout—it’s the one that’s designed for your current fitness level and moves you one step closer to your goals.
