Most people think progress comes from doing random workouts.
It doesn’t.
It comes from having a purpose behind every movement.
Today’s session started with 6x6 Bench Press (72–78%). This wasn’t about finding a max. It was about building strength through quality volume—improving pressing power, shoulder stability, and muscle endurance while reinforcing great technique under fatigue.
Then we moved into accessory work:
💪 Deficit Push-Ups – Increase range of motion, build chest and shoulder strength, improve pressing mechanics, and challenge core stability.
💪 Skull Crushers – Strong triceps equal a stronger bench press, stronger push-ups, and better lockout strength for anything you press overhead.
Then came the conditioning…
4 x 3-minute AMRAPs
🚣 15/12 Cal Row
🏋️ 16 Alternating Hang Dumbbell Snatches
🚶 Max Walking Lunges
Every movement had a reason.
🚣 Row: Full-body power while elevating your heart rate without the impact of running. It teaches you to produce force repeatedly while controlling your breathing.
🏋️ Alternating Hang Dumbbell Snatches: Explosive hip drive, coordination, shoulder stability, and total-body power. You’re training to move efficiently, not just lift heavy.
🚶 Walking Lunges: Unilateral leg strength, balance, core stability, and muscular endurance. They expose side-to-side weaknesses while building stronger knees, hips, and glutes.
The goal wasn’t to survive the workout.
The goal was to become stronger, move better, and build fitness that actually transfers to real life.
If you’ve been thinking about getting started, this is the perfect time.
