Here's the part that deserves more conversation: a laboratory reference range generally tells us where your result falls compared with a defined reference population. It's an important clinical tool, but it isn't a complete assessment of how you are doing.

A number can be in range while your symptoms are still worth investigating.

That's where we think medicine should get curious instead of ending the conversation.

What are you feeling? How long has it been happening? What's changed? What do your other markers show? What do the trends look like?

Sometimes the answer really is that everything looks reassuring.

What is Semorelin and why is it getting attention?

Sermorelin isn’t growth hormone. It’s a GHRH analog, which is a peptide designed to signal the pituitary gland to release more of the body’s own growth hormone.

Why does that matter? Growth hormone signaling naturally declines with age and plays a role in processes related to metabolism, body composition, tissue repair + more.

That’s also where the science needs some nuance.

Sermorelin has a legitimate clinical history, including a previously FDA-approved branded drug that is no longer marketed. Today, compounded sermorelin is not an FDA-approved drug, and its use in adult wellness and age-related GH support is off-label, with limited long-term evidence for many of the benefits you may see promoted online.

Translation: interesting mechanism ≠ guaranteed outcome.

We built our process around the workup, not the prescription pad. Labs and history first. Then a real answer, even when that answer is not the one you came in hoping for.
