Mr Felix began seeing the late Dr Harry Caplan at age 18 (70 years ago!). His wife Ms Jean became a patient a few years later!
And they are the owners of Costanza’s Sno-Balls & Soft Serve, our favorite sno-ball and ice cream shop, 5211 W Napoleon Ave near Transcontinental. Mr. Felix and Mrs Jean established Costanza’s over 50 years ago and serve the best desserts ever!

Meet Mrs. Betty and Mrs. Carol …. 2 lovely ladies seen at Caplan Eye Clinic this week.
Both became patients of our Founder, the late Harry B. Caplan, M.D., when they were 18 years old.
Mrs. Betty has been a patient for 73 years and Mrs. Carol has been a patient for 70 years.

Congratulations Dr. Chad Caplan!

The partners of Caplan Eye Clinic, Daniel Caplan MD and Brendon Sumich MD, recently selected Dr. Chad Caplan to join them as a partner/owner of the Practice. He was also elected to be the Medical Director of Caplan Eye Clinic.
Dr. Sumich continues in his role as the Surgical Director and Dr. Daniel Caplan as the Managing Partner of Caplan Eye Clinic.
Founded in 1938 by the late Dr Harry Caplan, Caplan Eye Clinic is the oldest eye care practice in the State of Louisiana.
In our 88th year, we are proud to have been the 1st eye practice in the U.S. to provide Valeda Light Therapy for Macular Degeneration.
Caplan Eye Clinic was the 1st in Louisiana to open an In-Office Cataract Surgery Suite under the direction of Dr. Brendon Sumich.
We are confident that Dr. Chad will play a major part in continuing the Caplan Eye Clinic tradition of providing the “ highest quality eye care in a caring environment” to the people of metro New Orleans.
