Last week, our Commerce clinic had Community Helpers week! We want to give a special shoutout to pediatrician Dr. Michael Heller, MD, librarians from Jefferson Parish Library, and firefighters Lieutenant Conzonere and the Jefferson parish fire department -Station 19. We had so much fun learning about your work in our community. The kids absolutely loved it and we’re honored to be able to share these experiences with them!

Congratulations to our very own Meredith Bateman on becoming a BCBA! Read on to learn about Meredith and the services she provides!

Meredith is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst on the Northshore. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2019 and began working as a Registered Line Technician. After falling in love with the field, she decided to begin her Master’s program at the end of 2019 and graduated in 2021 with a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. She’s had the opportunity to provide ABA therapy in clinics, schools, daycares, and home-based services, with clients ranging in age from 2 to 12 years old.

Meredith values building strong partnerships with families and caregivers to provide the most compassionate and individualized care. Meredith has specific interests in helping develop functional communication, interpersonal skills, and independence. Meredith believes creating an engaging and positive environment to learn and feel supported builds confidence for the learners.

Outside of the clinic, Meredith enjoys outdoor activities, crafting, exercising, and spending time with her family, friends, and cat, Hank.
