Our embryologists never stop learning, and next week, Dr. Beanie Welch is taking that to ASRM. 🔬

ASRM is one of the biggest gatherings in fertility care, and Beanie already has a list of things she can’t wait to learn more about. In this video, she shares what she’s most looking forward to.

She won’t be going alone. Physicians, embryologists and team members from across First Fertility will be there too, hearing about the latest research and new ideas in fertility care.

And the best part? What they learn comes home with them, to our lab, to our team and to the care we give you every day.

🎥 Hear what Beanie is excited about this year.

Behind every embryo is someone hoping for a baby. ❤️

Dr. Beanie Welch shares a story in this video about a patient encounter early in her career that really stayed with her. It was a reminder that when you spend your days in an embryology lab, it can be easy to become focused on the work in front of you.

But every embryo belongs to someone who is waiting for news and trusting you with an incredibly important part of their life.

Beanie has never forgotten that.

Today, she has been part of helping bring more than 20,000 babies into the world. That number is incredible, but what means even more are the people and families behind it.

That’s something we never want to lose sight of at The Fertility Institute (FINO) and First Fertility.

🎥 Listen to Beanie tell the story that changed the way she thought about her work—and why the people behind the embryos will always matter.

To all of the families who have trusted us along the way, thank you. ❤️

To the heart of every visit at The Fertility Institute 💜

Before the appointment begins, they’re already there. Preparing the room, greeting each patient by name and offering a calm, reassuring presence when it’s needed most. Our Medical Assistants carry so much of the care our patients feel, often quietly and without ever asking for thanks.

So this Medical Assistants Week, we want to say it loudly: thank you.

Thank you for your patience on the busiest days, your kindness in the tender moments and the steady way you hold everything together. You are our unsung anchors, and we could not do this work without you.

Join us in celebrating our wonderful MAs by sharing some love in the comments below! 💜

“I had no idea how common miscarriage was. Once I started talking about mine, I found out how many people I knew had been through it too.” 💜

Pregnancy and infant loss touch families across every ethnicity, every religion, every culture, and every corner of the world. 🌍

Our traditions may be different. The words we use to express grief may be different. Some of us gather together to remember, while others find comfort in private moments.

But the need to have our losses acknowledged is something we can share.

Tonight, The Fertility Institute joins families around the world in the International Wave of Light.

At 7 p.m., candles will be lit in remembrance of pregnancies and babies lost too soon. 🕯️

We light ours for everyone carrying this grief, including those who have never spoken about it. 💜

May we continue to make room for one another's stories, in whatever way they're ready to be shared.

With compassion and remembrance,
Dr. Jay Huber, Dr. Peter Lu, Dr. Ronald Clisham, Dr. Nicole Ulrich, Dr. Stacey Scheib, and the entire Fertility Institute (FINO) team.

Fertility care keeps changing. Your fertility team should keep learning right along with it. ❤️

Over the last 20 years, Dr. Beanie Welch has watched remarkable changes in embryology — new technology, new knowledge and continued improvements in patient outcomes.

That’s why staying current matters so much to her.

When members of your fertility team attend professional meetings, they’re not simply going to a conference. They’re listening to what’s happening across the field, learning from other fertility professionals, asking questions and bringing those conversations back to their own teams.

For patients, there’s something reassuring about that.

You want the people caring for you to have experience. But you also want them to remain curious about what’s changing, what we’re learning and how fertility care continues to evolve.

At The Fertility Institute (FINO) and First Fertility, we believe both matter.

🎥 Hear Beanie explain why, even after two decades in embryology, staying current remains such an important part of caring for patients.

October is Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month, and we’re taking a closer look at one of the most important tools in fertility care. 🔍

During a fertility ultrasound at The Fertility Institute (FINO), our team looks at:

✨ Your uterus: its shape and structure, and anything that may affect implantation and pregnancy
✨ Your ovaries: their size and appearance, to help assess ovarian function
✨ Your developing follicles: measuring them helps us track growth and see how your ovaries are responding to treatment
✨ Your uterine lining: its thickness and appearance throughout your cycle or treatment

Every detail helps tell the story, and gives your care team the information they need to guide your next steps.

Have questions about your fertility ultrasound? Our team at FINO, a First Fertility center, is always here to help. 💜

Hope and worry can live side by side. 💜

You can feel excited about what might be possible and scared about what comes next.

You can feel grateful for how far you’ve come and exhausted by what it took to get here.

You can hope deeply and still have moments of doubt.

More than one feeling can be true at the same time.

This World Mental Health Day, make room for all of it. You don’t have to choose between being hopeful and acknowledging what’s hard.

At The Fertility Institute (FINO), we're here to support you with all of it.

Your diagnosis deserves immediate attention. So do the hopes you have for your future. 💜

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're reminded how important it is to know our bodies and advocate for our health.

If you're diagnosed with breast cancer or another cancer, that advocacy can include asking one important question: Could my treatment affect my fertility?

If the answer may be yes, The Fertility Institute (FINO) is ready to see you quickly to discuss fertility preservation options.

Taking care of yourself means making room for all of you - even when time is short.

Grief can take many forms, and each one deserves space and compassion. 💜

For some, remembrance is private. For others, it means saying a name, sharing a story, lighting a candle, or simply allowing feelings to come as they will.

During Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, Drs. Jay Huber, Peter Lu, Nicole Ulrich, Ronald Clisham, Stacey Scheib, and the entire team at The Fertility Institute (FINO) honor every family carrying the memory of a pregnancy or baby deeply loved and deeply missed.

This month and always, we remember alongside you. 🕯️
