disorder, schizophrenia, or another mental health condition, our team is here to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

Our providers offer:

For patients who may require additional support at home, our team can also help

When is Medication the right option?

Many people wonder whether medication may be helpful as part of their mental health treatment.

Medication management may be worth discussing with a provider if you're experiencing:

• Persistent anxiety or worry
• Ongoing feelings of depression
• Difficulty concentrating
• Changes in sleep or appetite
• Symptoms that interfere with work, school, or relationships

Medication isn't the right choice for everyone, but for many individuals it can be an important part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

The most important step is having an open conversation with a qualified mental health provider about your symptoms, goals, and treatment options.

Mental Health Check-In: How Are You Really Doing?

Life gets busy, and it's easy to focus on everything around us while ignoring how we're feeling ourselves.

Take a moment today to ask yourself:

✔ Am I getting enough rest?
✔ Have I been managing stress in a healthy way?
✔ Am I making time for activities I enjoy?
✔ Do I feel connected to friends, family, or my support system?
✔ Is there something weighing on me that I haven't addressed?

Mental health isn't something we only think about during difficult times, it's something we should care for every day.

What's one thing you're doing this week to support your mental wellness?

✔ Diagnose psychiatric disorders
✔ Prescribe and manage medications

Happy Independence Day from Valley Mental Health!

The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate our nation, community, connection, and the people who support us through life's challenges.

At Valley Mental Health, we believe that no one should have to navigate their mental health journey alone.

Every day, we see the power of compassionate care, strong support systems, and individuals taking meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

As we celebrate this holiday, we're grateful for our patients, providers, community partners, and all those who work to make mental health care more accessible and supportive for everyone.

Wishing you a safe, peaceful, and joyful Independence Day.

What People Think Mental Health Care Looks Like vs. What It
Actually Looks Like

There’s a common misconception that mental health care is always serious,
uncomfortable, or intimidating.

But often, it looks more like:
-Having a real conversation
-Laughing during an appointment
-Learning why your brain reacts the way it does
-Noticing small improvements over time
-Finally feeling heard
-Building healthier routines and coping skills

Mental health care is not about “being broken.” It’s about support, growth, and having
tools to navigate life more effectively.

At Valley Mental Health, we strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment
where patients feel comfortable being themselves.

Warmer weather can have a positive impact on mental health in many ways!

For example, increased sunlight and vitamin D, more opportunities for movement,
fresh air, and social connection.

At Valley Mental Health, we encourage everyone to take small moments this summer to
care for both their physical and emotional well-being.

A few simple ways to support your mental health this season:

☀️ Take a short walk outside
☀️ Spend time in natural sunlight
☀️ Stay hydrated and maintain a routine
☀️ Unplug from screens when possible
☀️ Connect with friends, family, or your community
☀️ Give yourself permission to slow down and recharge

While summer can improve mood for many people, it’s important to remember that mental health challenges can still occur during any season and support is always
available.
