Born in New York City, Bill lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 and later enjoyed a successful 25-year career with IBM before retiring. A devoted Catholic, Bill dedicated countless hours to volunteer work through his church and throughout the community.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Adrianne O’Shea, who passed away on July 14, 2021. He is survived by his children, William O’Shea III and his wife Erica of Forest Grove, Oregon; Joseph O’Shea and his wife Tresia of Scottsville, New York; Tara Simko and her husband Jeff of Palermo, New York; and Mary O’Shea and her fiancé Ivan of Queens, New York; his sister, Karen Hicks of Bloomington, Indiana, and her husband, William Hicks; grandchildren Sophia O’Shea; Cameron, Noah, and Jack O’Shea; Liam, Sean, and Ethan Simko; and Joshua, Angela, Erica, Mariah, and Leah Dyette; along with 11 cherished great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Saint Anne Mother of Mary Catholic Church, 3352 Main Street, Mexico, New York 13114. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Bill lived his life according to two enduring priorities: faith and family. His faith guided his life, and his greatest joy was always found in the people he loved. While he was proud of his military service, his career, and his work within the church and community, he was proudest of being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind a family strengthened by his example, guided by his wisdom, and forever grateful for his love. Though his absence will be deeply felt, his family finds comfort in knowing he has been reunited with Adrianne and welcomed into God’s eternal embrace.

Instead, he continued to live each day with gratitude, humor, and an unwavering love for his family, friends, and animals.

His family urges you not to mourn his absence, but to honor his memory by living as he did. Spend time with the people you love. Perform a random act of kindness. Take in the beauty of the world around you. Appreciate the simple things. Live like Nathan would.
