Story: Celebrating birthdays for people with dementia is important because it strengthens their identity, brings emotional support, and creates feelings of love and safety. Even if they do not remember the party later, the joy and comfort in the moment matter deeply. Connie was very happy to celebrate his 89th birthday with his family and friends.
