There’s a difference between helping someone and taking responsibility for everything.

Helping says: “I’m here for you.”

Overfunctioning says: “I’ll fix it, handle it, remind you, worry about it, and make sure nothing goes wrong.”

And after a while, you may become exhausted, resentful, or feel like everything depends on you.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do isn’t to stop caring—it’s to stop doing for others what they are capable of doing for themselves.

You can love someone without carrying everything for them. 💙

That’s one of the lessons behind Boundaries Without Losing Yourself.

I wrote Boundaries Without Losing Yourself because I kept seeing the same struggle over and over again.

People who love deeply. Who are always there for everyone. Who say yes when they want to say no. Who feel responsible for keeping everyone happy—and then feel guilty the moment they try to choose themselves.

Setting boundaries doesn’t mean you have to become cold, selfish, or disconnected from the people you love.

Healthy boundaries can actually help us stay connected without losing ourselves in the process.

I wanted to write a practical book that helps you understand where the guilt comes from, recognize patterns like people-pleasing and overfunctioning, and learn how to set limits while still being YOU.

That’s why I wrote Boundaries Without Losing Yourself. 💙

Because the goal isn’t to push everyone away.

The goal is peace.

Your body gives you clues. Are you paying attention?

Persistent fatigue.
Unexpected weight changes.
Changes in sleep.
Brain fog or difficulty concentrating.
Changes in mood, motivation, or libido.

These symptoms don’t automatically mean something is wrong with your hormones—and they can have many different causes.

But they may be signs that it’s time to look deeper.

Your symptoms + your history + the right evaluation can help us understand the bigger picture.

Don’t just chase symptoms. Ask what may be contributing to them.

Always tired—even after sleeping?

Fatigue, brain fog, low motivation, and feeling like you need caffeine just to get through the day shouldn’t automatically be dismissed as “I’m just busy.”

There can be many contributors: sleep, iron and ferritin, thyroid function, vitamin deficiencies, hormones, nutrition, medications, stress, metabolic health, and more.

Instead of asking, “What can I take for energy?” sometimes the better question is:

Why am I tired in the first place?

At PadroMD, we look for the pieces that may be contributing to how you feel.

Feeling tired, gaining weight, sleeping poorly, experiencing brain fog, losing motivation, or noticing changes in your libido?

Sometimes these changes get blamed on stress or simply “getting older”—but they may be clues worth investigating.

Depending on your symptoms and history, we may look at hormones, thyroid function, iron, vitamin levels, metabolic health, nutrition, sleep, stress, and lifestyle.

The goal isn’t to treat a lab number. It’s to connect your symptoms with the bigger picture and understand what your body may be telling you.

“Your labs are normal.” But you still don’t feel like yourself.

You’re tired. Your brain feels foggy. You’re not sleeping well. Your motivation is low. Your weight is changing—and you know something feels different.

Sometimes “normal” results don’t tell the whole story.

Your symptoms, history, sleep, nutrition, stress, hormones, thyroid, iron, metabolic health, and lifestyle all provide pieces of the puzzle.

At PadroMD, we don’t just look at numbers. We look at the whole picture—and ask why you’re not feeling your best.

Because feeling better starts with understanding what your body is telling you.

Getting older doesn’t automatically mean you should accept feeling tired, unmotivated, foggy, or unlike yourself.

Sometimes there are factors worth looking deeper into—hormones, thyroid function, iron levels, nutrition, sleep, stress, metabolic health, and lifestyle.

The goal isn’t to chase a number or stop aging. It’s to understand what your body may be telling you and identify areas that can potentially be optimized.

we believe longevity isn’t just about living longer—it’s about feeling better while you’re living. 🤍

Your gut and brain are in conversation. Your care should consider both. 🧠💚

Digestive concerns, stress, and emotional well-being can be interconnected. That connection is one reason we ask about nutrition, digestion, sleep, and everyday life during a comprehensive evaluation.

At Mind & Soul Therapy, we bring these details together to better understand the person behind the symptoms.

When energy and focus feel harder to sustain, understanding why matters. 💚

Low ferritin can be a clue to depleted iron stores. Fatigue, brain fog, and changes in motivation also have many other possible contributors, so the full story matters.

Our approach brings together your symptoms, health history, and appropriate testing to help guide the next steps.

✨ Personalized care begins with listening. Schedule through the link in bio.

When emotional symptoms follow a monthly pattern, the timing matters. 🗓️

PMDD can involve intense irritability, anxiety, low mood, difficulty concentrating, and feeling overwhelmed before a period—with symptoms improving shortly after it begins.

When these changes disrupt work, relationships, or everyday life, they deserve evaluation. Tracking symptoms can help your clinician understand the pattern.

💙 At Mind & Soul Therapy, we listen and help you explore treatment options. Schedule through the link in bio.
