Many people who suffer from Diabetic Foot Ulcers also suffer from neuropathy in their extremities. Neuropath is reduced sensation in the feet and hands. This condition can make it very difficult to put on and take off traditional protective boots with their many fiddly straps. When Dr. Jason Hanft surveyed his patients before developing the Foot Defender ease of use was one of the primary reasons people didn't use their prescribed protective boot even though it could potentially save their limb and even their life! We developed the spat system on the Foot Defender to make putting the boot on and taking it off properly and quickly easy! Just another feature the separates the Foot Defender from it's competitors.
