Calories are essential because they provide the energy our bodies need, and they should never become a source of guilt or punishment.

Where those calories come from matters, too. Real foods like chicken, eggs, avocado, and whole grains provide valuable nutrients and can be part of a balanced diet.

In this clip from my conversation on Strive 305 Fitness for CNEWS TV , I share the importance of understanding what we eat and building healthier habits—not only for ourselves, but also for our children.

Have you taken a moment to slow down today? 🍃

We spend so much time rushing from one thing to the next that we sometimes forget to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves.

Our bodies and minds need these quiet moments—whether it’s meditating beneath a tree, listening to the birds, or simply enjoying the fresh air.

Take a few minutes for yourself today. Your body will thank you. ✨

Holding The ORAC Diet reminds me of why I wanted to become an author in the first place. 💗

I wanted to take what I’ve learned throughout my career and turn it into something people could keep, revisit, and use in their everyday lives.

Seeing this book in my hands still feels incredibly special. Every chapter represents my passion for making nutrition easier to understand and helping others feel more confident about the choices they make for their health.

That same passion also inspired What to Eat and How, my second book and another meaningful part of this journey.

Writing these books has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career, and I’m so grateful to share them with you. ✨

A good night’s sleep doesn’t always begin when your head hits the pillow—it can begin with what’s on your plate. 🌙✨

Certain foods contain nutrients that naturally support relaxation and help prepare your body for rest. Small, intentional choices throughout the day can make a real difference in how you sleep and how you feel the next morning.

Which of these foods would you add to your routine? Let me know in the comments! 👇

How often are you eating fish? 🐟

I recommend including fish in your meals at least three times a week, in some form. It’s a great source of high-quality protein and, depending on the type you choose, can provide important nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and selenium.

Grilled, baked, in a salad, a bowl, or simply prepared at home—there are so many ways to make fish part of your weekly meals.

It’s not about eating perfectly. It’s about making choices that nourish your body and that you can enjoy consistently. ✨

How many times a week do you eat fish? 🐟
