We are beyond grateful for the incredible love shown to us by the St. Kevin family!!! 🍀💚🐕🙏

We were so surprised and touched to receive such a beautiful farewell celebration. It meant so much to see so many of the 92 children who participated in our workshops throughout this year. Seeing their smiles, hugs, and love for Charlie filled our hearts with so much gratitude and emotion.

The beautiful cake and delicious brownies with Charlie’s picture made the day even more special and unforgettable!🍀🎂🐕💚

Thank you so much, Mrs. Vazquez, for organizing this beautiful gathering and for the heartfelt prayer for Charlie. Your kindness, love, and support mean more to us than words can express.🥰💚🐕

As many of you know, Charlie is now 11 years old and beginning to experience some health challenges. After much prayer and reflection, I have made the difficult decision to retire him from our workshops so he can rest and enjoy a peaceful season of life surrounded by his family and all the love he deserves.

Three years ago, Charlie and I came to St. Kevin hoping we could make a small difference in the lives of children by helping them develop emotional tools, kindness, confidence, gratitude, and a positive mindset. What we found was so much more than we ever imagined — we found a family.

To the parents, teachers, staff, and especially the students, thank you for opening your hearts to us. Thank you for every hug, every smile, every story, and every moment of love you shared with Charlie. Watching the children grow in kindness, confidence, emotional awareness, and compassion has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives.

💚🐕Charlie became more than a therapy dog at St. Kevin — he became a friend, a comfort, and a source of joy to so many. The love you all showed him brought endless happiness to both of us.💚🙋‍♀️🐕💚

We truly believe God and the Blessed Virgin Mary guided us to St. Kevin for a reason, and we will forever carry every beautiful memory in our hearts.

We love you, St. Kevin families, and we will always be grateful for the love, kindness, and support you gave us throughout these beautiful years. 💚🐕🥰🙏 we are always here for you.

💚🐕Last Tuesday was our final workshop of the year with our second group of 1st and 2nd grade students — a very special group of children who truly love and enjoy our time together. 💚🍀🐕

During our workshop, we talked about friendship, respect, and kindness. Charlie’s story was especially meaningful as it showed the children how sharing our things can help build trust, friendship, and love. We also practiced using the “magic words” — please and thank you — and learned how simple words of kindness and respect can truly change the outcome of our goals and interactions with others.

A very special thank you to our wonderful 6th grade friends for helping us and being such amazing role models!💚🙋‍♀️🐕

Our final Charlie gratitude circle was incredibly touching. Every time we gather, the children show Charlie so much love, kindness, and respect. Watching those beautiful connections grow has been such a blessing for all of us. 🐾💚🍀

🍀💚🐕We had our final workshop for the first group of 1st–2nd grade students at St. Kevin. We had a wonderful time exploring what a friend is and what friendship truly means❤️❤️. We talked about what a good friend does and how simple, yet powerful, friendship can be. Kindness, respect, and consideration are some of the most important traits of a good friend.🥰🥰

💚🐕Charlie told the children a beautiful story about sharing. He showed them that sharing is not about losing something you have, but about creating more positive feelings and bringing happiness to others.

We also practiced the “magic words🥰🙏❤️.” The students already know how amazing they are and how loved and respected people feel when we use kind words. A simple “please” and “thank you” can go a very long way.

We ended our session with our gratitude circle, where Gabriel shared a beautiful prayer.

🍀🐕Our second group of St. Kevin 3–5 grade students had their final workshop last Tuesday, and it was truly special.

❤️🙏🥰🐕We spent meaningful time learning how to recognize feelings of frustration and challenge—what they feel like in our bodies, and how completely okay it is to experience them. We talked about the importance of pausing, understanding those feelings, and finding healthy ways to release them so we can open our hearts and minds to solutions.

We reminded each other that it’s okay to ask for help, and it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. Challenges are part of growth—they help us learn, build resilience, and discover our strength. Being intentional is key to finding our answers.

We closed, as always, with our beautiful circle of gratitude.🥰🙏🐕💚

Today we wrapped up our final workshop with our wonderful 3rd–5th grade first group at St. Kevin 🍀🐕

❤️😣🙂We spent a meaningful and fun session exploring how to handle frustration and face challenges with confidence. Through games and interactive exercises, the children learned to recognize what frustration feels like and discovered how much growth can come from working through difficult moments. They received a bag of goodies and their “Calm sunglasses” 😎

🙂🐕🍀🙏We closed our time together with our special gratitude circle—sharing a calming breathing moment and expressing a few heartfelt words of gratitude. It’s always a beautiful way to end.

😊We explored the importance of respect, unity, communication, and kindness—values that shape not only our time in school but also the way we grow into the future. It’s so important for them to remember that they can always count on one another, and that the way they show up for each other truly matters.
