When the nervous system experiences intense fear or danger, it holds on to that feeling, even after the moment has passed. That’s why you can feel on edge, overwhelmed, or unsafe without a clear reason.

Sometimes, after going through pain or trauma, we get used to expecting the worst. Even when something good comes into our life, we question it or push it away without realizing it. This is what survival mode feels like always being alert, always waiting for something to go wrong. But healing means slowly learning that you are safe, that you don’t have to live like that anymore. You don’t have to earn peace or happiness. You are already worthy of good things. And it’s okay to let them stay. šŸ’›
