𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲:

CMS(Medicare) has issued a proposal that would impose unprecedented cuts to skin cancer care services. If finalized, it will create access issues for seniors at dermatology practices all across the country.

In addition to massive cuts to overhead reimbursement for dermatology practices, Medicare proposes cutting reimbursement by 50% for procedures performed on the same day as a visit. For the majority of the affected procedure codes in dermatology, reimbursement would fall below the cost of supplies, leaving nothing to fund overhead or physician pay.

The majority of skin cancer occurs in Seniors, and dermatologists provide most of the detection and treatment of skin cancer in our country. To stop this shocking change, please take 30 seconds to make your voice heard!

We’ve even helped foreign grads match in residency programs here in the US!!
