" WASHINGTON — A rice recall involving Lundberg Family Farms' white jasmine rice in 13 states updated with new details, according to an updated U.S. Food and Drug Administration alert.

The initial recall, which began after multiple reports about "potential contamination with foreign materials," was issued in April, but new details were released in August.

The updated recall said the affected packages, with UPC numbers 073416-040281, and a "best-by" date of Feb. 1, 2027, and Feb. 2, 2027, were distributed in more than a dozen states..."

El peligro también se ha manifestado en Montana, donde 11 personas fueron hospitalizadas el mes pasado tras recolectar hongos cerca del Parque Nacional de Yellowstone, varias de ellas en estado grave.

Humans don’t really have any other natural predators, but women do. And we’re still expected to mate with them?

U.S. Department of Justice: Offenses against family and children are 73.4% male perpetrated.

* 75% of violent incidents involved male offenders.
Also MOST violence against women is committed by male intimate partners (IPV).

CDC: 13.7% of males in the US experience physical IPV in their lifetime, however 90% of that is MINOR violence such as pushing or slapping. The stuff that doesn’t actually cause physical harm.

Compare that to the 22.5% of women experiencing physical IPV - 80% is SEVERE physical violence - the stuff that actually causes physical harm. When you include stalking, this number is over 30% of women. MOST WOMEN DO NOT REPORT IPV, even when directly asked in a healthcare setting.

CDC data shows 30% of ALL women in the US suffer psychological aggression by intimate partner, vs 22% of males.

NISVS 2010 findings on IPV female victim reports indicate: Bisexual women experience the HIGHEST rates of IPV compared to their population, and 90% of that is MALE perpetrators.
96% of ALL IPV against female victims is by male perpetrators.

National Institute of Justice: 91% of the perpetrators of familicide are men.

Department of Psychological Medicine: The majority of perpetrators of domestic violence are men.

FBI Crime Data Explorer: 83.6% of in**st offenders are male. 80.3% of statutory r**e offenders are male. 85% of r**e offenders are male.

Sage Reference: National incidence studies of child abuse and neglect find that fathers, including biological fathers, stepfathers, and father surrogates, are perpetrators of a significant proportion of child maltreatment. In two-parent families, fathers are perpetrators in the majority of child physical abuse and about half of emotional maltreatment cases. Fathers are particularly overrepresented as perpetrators of severe, injurious forms of abuse.

Children living with both parents were 50% more likely to receive physical abuse from their father. Male perpetrators of CPA are generally more violent than female perpetrators. In general, fathers are more likely to favor authoritarian punishment and to use corporal punishment. " El bullying o matonismo escolar no solo tiene consecuencias durante los años de niñez y adolescencia; las secuelas podrían permanecer más de 40 años, cuando la víctima ya creció y sus agresores probablemente ya se olvidaron de él o ella.

Esa es la conclusión de un estudio del King’s College de Londres realizado en 7.771 habitantes de Inglaterra, Escocia y Gales, a quienes se siguió 43 años.

Las personas agredidas eran más propensas a tener peor salud física y psicológica. Además, su riesgo de depresión, ansiedad e ideas suicidas era mayor.

Quienes sufrieron bullying en su niñez o adolescencia también tenían mayores posibilidades de tener niveles educativos menores, estar desempleados o recibir salarios más bajos.

Para los investigadores, el principal problema reside en que muchos ven el matonismo como algo normal en el engranaje educativo.

“Necesitamos dejar de ver al bullying como una parte inevitable de crecer. " Midwest Poultry Services first issued the recall of 1.6 million brown and white eggs in late July.

According to Midwest Poultry’s recall announcement, the eggs were produced and distributed from farms in Texas between June 6, 2026 and July 3, 2026, and have sell-by or best-by dates between July 20, 2026 and August 17, 2026.

The eggs were shipped to foodservice and retail customers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, ere available to consumers at Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana, Brookshire Grocery stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi.

The recalled eggs can be identified by codes P-1950 or 0840962 with a Julian date between 157 and 184 printed on the side of the cartons. For a full list of examples, check the FDA recall site or call 574-405-9531.

No other Midwest Poultry Services products are part of the recall..."
