I spend a lot of time encouraging patients to stay on top of preventive care—so today, I took my own advice.

Recently had my screening colonoscopy, an important reminder that taking care of your health should never be put off. Early detection saves lives.

For most average-risk adults, screening begins at age 45. If you’re due, schedule it.
