Try swapping the usual question for a few more specific ones! Questions about your child’s day are easier to answer than a broad “How was school?” and can encourage longer conversations, storytelling, and stronger communication skills.

Using “who, what, and where” cards to build complete sentences! 💬

Visual supports like these can make it easier for children to understand how different parts of a sentence fit together. In this activity, we worked on identifying the subject, action, and object to create a complete thought:

“The duck is coloring an airplane.” 🦆✈️

This type of activity can help support sentence formulation, grammar, and expressive language skills in a simple, structured way.

What are lip puckers used for? 👄💙

Lip puckers help target lip strength, rounding, and coordination. These skills play an important role in everyday tasks like drinking from a straw, sipping from an open cup, and keeping food and liquids in the mouth while eating and drinking.

Every therapy activity is selected with a purpose and tailored to each child’s individual goals. ✨

Bilateral coordination is the ability to use both sides of the body together in a coordinated way. This skill is essential for many everyday activities, both at home and at school.

Children use bilateral coordination when they:
🖍️ Coloring and writing
✂️ Cutting with scissors
👕 Buttoning and zipping clothing
⚽ Catching and throwing a ball
🍴 Using utensils during meals

These skills are the foundation for many everyday activities both at home and at school. 💙
