After Dad Moved Out, His Daughter Felt Unloved

Irina, 36, says her 40-year-old husband asked to live separately and moved out after an argument. They have lived apart for a month and a half. He provides financial support and visits their 10-year-old daughter, but she keeps her distance and says his leaving means he doesn’t love her. He says he hasn’t decided what comes next.

The advice: don’t force contact or dismiss her hurt. Reassure her she is loved, keep communication open, and seek support for both mother and daughter. Full story: https://psytheater.com/article/a-father-moves-out-and-his-daughter-feels-left-behind-107091.html

Honey at bedtime: comfort ritual, uncertain benefits
A teaspoon of honey may be soothing, but evidence that it improves sleep is limited. A JAMA Pediatrics study found honey helped children sleep by easing nighttime cough—not by acting as a sleep aid.
Honey can raise blood sugar. In an Agroscope test of 10 healthy adults ages 23–39, its glycemic index ranged from 53 for acacia to 64 for rapeseed and as high as 88.6 for some forest honeys. People with diabetes or glucose concerns should ask a clinician before trying it.

A 15-Minute Chair-Yoga Break for Desk-Bound Bodies

Chair yoga isn’t a watered-down practice. Using a stable, armless chair, people can adapt traditional poses, breathing exercises and meditation—making movement more accessible for those with limited mobility, balance concerns or an injury.

At the office, even 15 minutes may help ease stiffness from prolonged sitting, release tension and support concentration. Certified chair-yoga teacher Fleur Houdré-Grégoire notes that a chair can also support more demanding poses. When Intimacy Fades: Can a Relationship Be Saved After Years Together?

After nearly five years together, Zlata, 35, faced a painful turning point when her partner admitted he no longer felt desire for her, despite their plans for marriage and children. Attempts to talk or seek help were met with resistance, leaving her questioning whether their relationship could be "healed" or if it was time to move on.

Psychotherapist Ekaterina Tur explores how uncertainty, lack of intimacy, and unspoken fears can erode even long-term bonds—and why both partners must be willing to take steps toward change. Can Eating Two Kiwis Before Bed Help You Sleep Better?

A 2011 study found that adults who ate two kiwis about an hour before bedtime for four weeks fell asleep faster, slept longer, and woke up less during the night. A more recent 2023 study with elite athletes showed similar improvements in sleep quality. While the results are promising, experts caution that kiwi isn’t a cure for serious sleep issues and may not suit everyone, especially those with acid reflux or allergies.

How to Set Boundaries Without Guilt or Backlash

Psychotherapist Tatyana Sorokina shares advice for those struggling with tactless questions and unwanted opinions from others. She explains that our strong emotional reactions often come from cognitive biases and ingrained beliefs—not just the behavior of others. By questioning why we feel responsible for others’ rudeness and reflecting on our own need for approval or dominance, we can respond more calmly and protect our boundaries without guilt.

Is it normal for a 16-year-old to be obsessed with tango? Behavioral psychologist Elena Kalashnikova says yes—intense passions are common in teens as they search for identity. While tango might seem unusual, it offers physical activity, social skills, and discipline. The key is balance: if school, sleep, and responsibilities aren’t suffering, there’s no cause for concern. Setting clear financial boundaries for costumes and classes is healthy. When OCD Makes You Doubt Your Own Loyalty

Ever had an intrusive thought about an ex while being close with your current partner—and felt instant guilt? Psychologist Yana Gavrilko-Alekseeva explains: a thought is not a betrayal. For those with OCD, the mind can latch onto what matters most, turning random memories into endless self-doubt. The key is recognizing these thoughts as just that—thoughts, not actions. If you struggle with this, you’re not alone. Read more about how to break the cycle and find peace: https://psytheater.com/article/ocd-warps-intimacy-with-unwanted-thoughts-not-betrayal-106132.html
