Finally, I could record without crying!
These have been the longest two months of my life, but also the most empowering. I will never forget that phone call when the doctor told me, “Unfortunately, it’s cancer.”
Why did I get cancer if I’ve been practicing healthy habits for the last 10 years? Easy answer: because I’m human.
I did everything in my power to prevent it. Eating real, whole foods, minimal ultra-processed foods, no plastic containers, no perfumes or creams, exercising six times a week, prioritizing sleep, eating fiber, no alcohol, no cold cuts… and I still got it.
I firmly believe my lifestyle slowed down the growth, and that it will be responsible for my speedy recovery. I’m more ready than ever, because I’m a mom and a wife, and I still have a bigger purpose on this earth.
The first two weeks were scary, but since then, I haven’t doubted for a second that this will be just an episode in my life.
Please ask as many questions as you have. If I can ease your anxiety, or that of a family member or friend, please count on me. 💗
For reference, I was diagnosed with stage 1, grade 2, hormone-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer.
