Future PA students, this one’s for you! 🩺✨

We asked students from FIU’s Physician Assistant Program to share one piece of advice they’d give to future PA students. Here’s what they had to say! 💙🧡

From handwritten prescriptions ✍️ to electronic health records 💻 to medicine at our fingertips 📱, the PA profession has evolved in more ways than one!

Each generation of PAs has helped shape the profession we know and love today. While the tools, technology, and trends may change, our commitment to patient care, advocacy, and advancing the PA profession remains the same.

At FAPA, we celebrate the experience of those who paved the way, the innovation of those leading today, and the passion of those shaping tomorrow.

Different generations, ONE PA profession. 💙

🌎🩺 PA Students Serving Beyond the Classroom!

This September, PA students from South University came together to serve on a medical mission trip to Belize! 🇧🇿💙

The team included one PA-S2 student from South University Savannah, one PA-S1 student from South University Tampa, and seven PA-S2 students from South University Tampa. Together, these future PAs had the opportunity to put their clinical skills into action, serve communities in need, and experience firsthand the impact of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Experiences like these are a powerful reminder that the PA profession extends far beyond the classroom. We are proud to highlight students who are committed to service, teamwork, and making a difference in the communities around them — both at home and abroad.

Thank you to these students for representing the PA profession through service! 💙

A Florida PA just landed on a national healthcare leadership list. 👏

Congratulations to Dr. Marilyn Suri, DMSc, PA-C, FACHE, named to Becker’s 2026 Rising Stars: 188 Healthcare Leaders Under 40.

As a FAPA South Regional Director, COO & Chief APP, and Legislative Director for APALM, Marilyn is doing work that moves our profession forward. We’re proud to celebrate her. 🎉

And with PA Week around the corner, we’re celebrating something else that makes this profession special: the people behind it.

The colleague who answers your question.
The mentor who sees something in you early.
The peer who makes an introduction.
The student who reminds you why it matters to give back.

You don’t have to show up as a leader. You just have to show up.

Florida PAs took Capitol Hill. 🇺🇸

If you missed it, here’s what you need to know 👇

This past week, Florida PAs joined colleagues from across the country in Washington, D.C. to meet with congressional offices, share the PA perspective, and advocate for our students, our profession, and our patients.

From expanding access to federal student loan financing for PA students to improving access to care for injured federal workers, PAs showed up and made our voices heard.

Thank you to everyone who represented Florida and helped build bipartisan support for the future of PA practice. 💙🧡
