September 30 is NICU Awareness Day. 💚

Every year, thousands of babies require care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to prematurity and other serious health complications.

What many people don’t realize is that research begins long before a baby enters the NICU. By studying conditions such as preeclampsia and other pregnancy complications, researchers are helping advance knowledge that may improve maternal health, reduce preterm births, and support healthier outcomes for both mothers and babies.

Today, we recognize the strength of NICU families and the healthcare professionals who support them every step of the way.
