Not every accident that looks “minor” results in a minor injury.

From fender benders to high-speed impacts and rollover accidents, the forces involved in a collision can affect the spine in different ways. Injuries may involve the muscles, ligaments, facet joints, discs, nerves, or other structures of the neck and back.

And sometimes, symptoms don’t show up right away.

That’s why a thorough evaluation matters. Your physician can assess your symptoms, perform a physical examination, and determine whether imaging is medically appropriate to better understand your injury and guide your treatment plan.

Every accident is different. Every patient is different. Your care should be too.

Acute pain and chronic pain aren’t the same, and timing can matter.

After an acute injury, care often begins conservatively with options such as physical therapy, chiropractic care, stretching, home exercises, and medications when appropriate.

If significant pain continues beyond several weeks, pain management interventions may be considered to help reduce symptoms and improve function. Allowing persistent pain to go unaddressed may, in some cases, contribute to the transition from acute to chronic pain, which can become more challenging to manage.

The goal is always to find the appropriate level of care based on where you are in your recovery.

Every patient is unique. Treatment recommendations are based on your clinical evaluation, physical examination, imaging findings, response to conservative care, and medical necessity.

Could your back pain be coming from your facet joints?

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA), sometimes referred to as a rhizotomy, is a minimally invasive procedure that may help relieve pain caused by the facet joints in the spine.

Before recommending RFA, your physician will perform a diagnostic facet joint injection to determine whether those joints are the source of your pain. If you experience significant relief from the injection, you may be a candidate for RFA.

The procedure targets the small nerves that carry pain signals from the facet joints and may provide longer-lasting relief for the right patients.

Every patient is unique. Treatment recommendations are based on your clinical evaluation, physical examination, imaging findings, and medical necessity.

Not all injuries are immediately obvious after a car accident.

Even if you feel fine right after a collision, the effects of adrenaline can mask pain for hours. As your body begins to recover, symptoms like neck pain, back pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility may develop over the next 12 to 24 hours.

Motor vehicle accidents can affect the discs, facet joints, muscles, and other soft tissues of the spine. That's why it's important to be evaluated, even if imaging doesn't show a fracture or other major injury.

Treatment often begins with conservative care, such as chiropractic care and physical therapy. If pain persists despite these treatments, physician-directed options like spinal injections may be considered based on your clinical evaluation, imaging findings, and medical necessity.

Early evaluation can help identify injuries and guide the most appropriate treatment plan for your recovery.

Don't let pain put your life on hold.

When medically appropriate, you may be able to receive both your evaluation and a same-day procedure during your visit, helping you start your treatment plan sooner.

Our physicians offer a variety of in-office procedures, including trigger point injections, epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, PRP injections, and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). These treatments are designed to target the source of your pain and may provide longer-lasting relief than relying on medications or home remedies alone.

Every patient is unique. Treatment recommendations are based on your clinical evaluation, physical examination, imaging findings, and medical necessity.

When is it time to consider an injection?

For many patients, treatment begins with conservative care. This may include over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications, muscle relaxers, home stretching, physical therapy, or chiropractic care.

If you're still experiencing pain after about 30 days of conservative treatment, your physician may recommend injections as the next step in your care. These treatments can help reduce pain, improve function, and support your recovery when clinically appropriate.

Every patient is unique. Treatment recommendations are based on your clinical evaluation, physical examination, imaging findings, and medical necessity.

We know it's a lot of paperwork, but there's an important reason behind it. 😊

At your first visit, we'll ask you to complete new patient forms so we can hear directly from you about your symptoms, medical history, and the reason for your visit. This helps ensure our physicians have the most accurate and up-to-date information before your evaluation.

Taking a few extra minutes to complete your paperwork allows us to provide personalized, patient-centered care from the very beginning.

Thank you for helping us make your visit as thorough and efficient as possible!

Knee pain doesn't always mean surgery, but when conservative treatments aren't enough, knee arthroscopy may be an option.

Knee arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat a variety of knee conditions, including meniscus tears, ligament injuries, cartilage damage, and loose fragments within the joint. For the right candidate, it can help relieve pain, improve mobility, and support a return to daily activities.

Every patient and every injury is different. A comprehensive evaluation is the first step in determining the treatment that's right for you.

Swipe through to learn more about knee arthroscopy and when it may be recommended.
