Day 5 — July 5, 2017 🏔️
The journey continued from Georgetown to Rocky Mountain National Park, and somehow the first four days still weren’t enough. This was the icing on the cake.
People always say, “Take the scenic route,” but in Colorado, every route is the scenic route. Along the way, I stopped at Eagle Plume’s Trading Post, sitting just shy of 9,000 feet in elevation. Rich in Native American culture and history, it stands on the ancestral homelands of the Tsistsistas (Cheyenne), Arapaho, and Ute peoples.
From there, every mile felt like a postcard. Each turn through Rocky Mountain National Park revealed another breathtaking view, and I found myself completely mesmerized by the beauty surrounding me.
I will forever be grateful for this first Colorado road trip—the adventure that made me fall in love with this incredible state.
Days 6 and 7 took me through Boulder and back to the big city of Denver. There aren’t many city photos because that wasn’t the moment that changed my life. The mountains, the open roads, and the endless views were what convinced me that Colorado was where I belonged.
Now that I’ve shared my journey, come visit me and experience Colorado for yourself. You just might fall in love with it the same way I did.
Relocating here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. ❤️🏔️
