Saturday morning. Coffee still warm, the paper only half-read, and someone across the table telling a story you've heard forty times β€” and still laugh at.

That's the stuff worth hearing clearly.

How many people were around your table this morning? Tell us the number below πŸ‘‡ (we're counting).

Today kicks off National Audiology Awareness Month β€” a month built to celebrate the people who spend their careers helping others hear better.

All month, we're handing the mic to our Senior Audiologist, Dr. Rachel: what she actually does, the myths she hears most, and what happens at a real hearing test.

Save this and follow along. Swipe β†’

Want to keep your mind sharp as you age? It might start with your ears. πŸ§ πŸ‘‚

Dr. Rachel, our Senior Audiologist, explains the hearing–brain connection in about a minute. When hearing changes, your brain works overtime to fill in the gaps, and research has linked untreated hearing loss to faster cognitive decline. That's a link, not a guarantee, but it points to something worth knowing: staying engaged with the sounds around you helps keep your brain engaged too.

What's a question you've always wanted to ask an audiologist? Drop it below πŸ‘‡ and Dr. Rachel will answer this week.

Healthy aging, out loud: a morning walk, a good friend, and catching every word of the conversation. 🌳

There's something about getting the steps in and the stories in at the same time.

What morning routine sets your whole day right? πŸ‘‡

To close out Healthy Aging Month, we asked our senior audiologist, Dr. Rachel, for the habits she actually recommends β€” the simple, no-nonsense ones.

Five of them. Save this as your fall checklist. (Number 4 is the one people skip most.)

Save it, and tell us which one you already do πŸ‘‡

We want to tell your hearing story. πŸ’›

Maybe your story challenges what people assume about hearing loss. Maybe you helped someone you love through theirs. Maybe hearing aids let you say yes to something new.

Whatever it is, we'd love to hear it β€” just send us a DM. No forms, nothing to fill out. And nothing's shared publicly without your OK.

Morning light. A walking group on the trail. Someone's terrible joke and everyone laughing anyway.

This is aging well β€” out loud, in good company, not missing a word. Sound on. πŸ”Š

The standing coffee date. β˜•

The same table, the same friends, the stories you've heard a hundred times and laugh at anyway.

That's the good stuff β€” and hearing every word of it is what makes it worth showing up for.

Who's your standing-date person? πŸ‘‡

"A little hearing loss is just part of getting older β€” you learn to live with it."

It's one of the most common things we hear. And our Senior Audiologist, Dr. Rachel, wants to gently push back. πŸ’›

Yes, hearing changes with age β€” that part's normal. But "just living with it" isn't the only option, and it's rarely the best one. Research links untreated hearing loss to a higher risk of dementia, and the quieter cost is connection: when conversations get tiring, people slowly step back from the dinners, the calls, the group.

The good news? It's never too late to tune back in.

Swipe through, and if you know someone who's said "you just live with it," save this and send it their way. What surprised you most? πŸ‘‡
