Empower U Community Health Center We are a Federally Qualified Community Health Center located in Liberty City, Miami, FL.

We offer services based on a sliding fee scale to ensure that we serve members of the community regardless of the ability/ inability to pay. For more than 15 years, Empower U exclusively provided services to people living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS. During that time, EU gained a reputation for engaging and connecting to care Miami's most disenfranchised populations. In November 2013, EU became federally qualified health center (FQHC), expanding its comprehensive services to populations affected by all chronic illnesses. As a community health center (CHC), EU now provides primary care to Liberty City residents, regardless of their ability to pay. Other services provided include health insurance application assistance, benefits eligibility screening, mental health counseling, and outpatient substance abuse groups. We also continue to provide HIV/AIDS outreach, testing, housing, and prevention/education services, as well.

A clean diaper shouldn’t be a luxury.

During National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Empower U Community Health Center is partnering with the Miami Diaper Bank to collect diapers for families right here in our community.

For one week, we’re asking our community to come together and help us make a difference.

We’re collecting diapers in ALL sizes, from preemie to pull-ups.

Before you accept that hand-me-down car seat from a cousin, friend, or Marketplace listing, check the date on the bottom. 🚗

Car seats last 6–10 years. After that, the plastic gets brittle, the foam breaks down, and it may not meet today's crash standards, which matters more than ever now that half of Miami is driving an SUV.

A free seat isn't a deal if it can't protect your baby.

We provide a limited number of brand-new car seats free to our patients. First come, first served.
