If every appointment feels like starting over, it's usually not the doctor. It's a model that gives them fifteen minutes and a full waiting room.

We built Concierge Medicine of Dayton differently. Dr. Davis cares for fewer patients, which means there’s time to know your history, hear the full story, and build a plan that fits your life rather than a template.

If this sounds like the care you've been looking for, schedule a meet and greet through the link in our bio.

For decades, red wine had a reputation as the drink your heart would thank you for.

That thought came from studies with a hidden flaw: the "non-drinkers" they used for comparison included people who had quit drinking because they were already sick. Next to them, moderate drinkers looked healthy.

When researchers corrected for that in a 2022 analysis, the heart benefit largely disappeared. The protective effect didn't hold up for anyone, and research also shows alcohol can affect women's health even more than most realize.

Calcium has carried the bone health conversation for decades, but it was never meant to do the job alone.

Bone is living tissue, and it takes an entire system to maintain: estrogen to slow the breakdown, which is why loss accelerates at menopause, vitamin D to absorb the calcium in the first place, and protein and resistance training to signal new bone to form. Each one carries weight a supplement alone cannot.

Most of this loss happens silently, which is why the right time to start looking at your bone health is before something breaks.

Ms.Medicine breaks down what actually keeps bones strong, new on the blog: MsMedicine.com/blog

Midlife is when a woman's health needs the most attention, and it's often when appointments give it the least.

Menopause, breast health, sexual health, bone health, and heart health each deserve a real place in your care. These conversations take time, honest questions, and a physician who knows your history well enough to put the answers in context.

That's the level of care you'll find at Concierge Medicine of Dayton: unhurried appointments, direct access to your physician, and a plan built around you.

Heart disease is still the leading cause of death among women, and in the U.S. a heart attack happens roughly every 43 seconds.

Here's the problem: the warning signs most of us know are the ones men get. For women, a heart attack is more likely to show up as nausea, jaw pain, or extreme fatigue, symptoms that are easy to brush off as something else.

Knowing these signs is half the battle. The other half is knowing your personal risk before an emergency ever happens, and that takes a physician with time to look at your full picture, from blood pressure to family history to the risk factors unique to women.

That's a conversation we're always ready to have at Concierge Medicine of Dayton. Bring it up at your next visit, or if we haven't met yet, schedule a time to come talk with us through the link in our bio.

There is real science behind why time with your girlfriends makes you feel better.

Female friendships raise serotonin, lower cortisol, and have a measurable impact on your overall health outcomes.

The older you get, the more you realize that the women who show up for you are one of the best things you have going for your health and your life.

Up to 70% of women with PMOS have never been diagnosed. That number is not a rounding error, or because their symptoms weren’t real. It’s because the condition was consistently framed as a reproductive issue, and everything outside that frame got missed.

The metabolic dysfunction, the cardiovascular risk, the insulin resistance, the mental health toll were never part of the conversation because the system wasn't built to look for them.

That changes with the right physician. We're ready when you are. Schedule a meet and greet at the link in our bio.

Fatigue that feels different from tired. Sleep that does not restore you. Energy that has quietly shifted without a clear reason. These are among the most common complaints women in their 40s and 50s bring into an appointment, and they are also among the most underexplained.

What is actually happening is hormonal, cumulative, and closely connected to how your body manages stress over time. Understanding that picture is the first step, and having a physician who will look at all of it with you is the next one.

If this sounds familiar, let’s have a conversation. Schedule a wellness visit at the link in our bio.

Summer has a way of pulling us outside — longer days mean more sun, which means more time doing the things we love.

More time outside also means more sun exposure, and this time of year is one of the best reminders to get into the habit of checking your skin regularly.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the US, and most people who catch it early find it themselves first. A monthly self check is one of the simplest habits you can build, and we outlined the key signs to watch for above to help you know what you are looking at.

If you notice something new, something changing, or a spot you have been watching, bring it to your next visit. We will take a look, talk through what we are seeing, and point you in the right direction if a specialist is needed.
