Today, we celebrate freedom and unity as we commemorate Juneteenth, which marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States finally learned of their emancipation, marking a pivotal moment in our nation's history. Juneteenth reminds us of the continued push for equality for all groups of people!

Happy Flag Day! Today recognizes the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for our beloved Stars and Stripes, including the 13 alternating red and white stripes and the field of stars. The day was not officially recognized until President Woodrow Wilson established June 14 as Flag Day in 1916. June 14 is also the anniversary of the U.S. Army’s founding! This year, the Army turns 249!

During National Migraine and Headache Awareness month, we wanted to bring attention to this “invisible disease” and its connection to mental health. According to the American Migraine Foundation, there often seems to be a connection to mental health. In one survey, nearly 60% of patients with migraines also reported being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and 50% were diagnosed with depression. If you are suffering from migraines, please be sure to get the help you need.
