This morning’s incident at Franciscan Health in Michigan City has shaken our community.

On behalf of all of us at Swanson Center, we are keeping Deputy Samuelson, his family, and everyone affected in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We are grateful for the men and women in law enforcement and emergency response who step forward each day to protect others, often placing themselves in harm’s way without a second thought. Their courage, sacrifice, and service should never be taken for granted.
