Chief Taylor is in Hazen, AK... some may know him from On Patrol Live, but his messages are much deeper than just follow Earthly laws.

This morning before work, I had the opportunity to speak to the Hazen FCS youth!!! It was cool, windy, and a little chilly, but what a blessing it was to stand in front of those young people!!!

I had prepared a devotional, and about five minutes into it, I wadded that piece of paper up and stuck it in my pocket!!! That wasn’t what I was supposed to deliver this morning. Sometimes the Good Lord changes your heart and takes you in a completely different direction!!!

As I looked around at those kids, many of them wearing their jerseys for Homecoming, something hit me!!!

Every one of those jerseys has a NUMBER on it!!! But underneath that jersey is a NAME!!!

One day the football games will be over. The jerseys will be hung up. The crowds will stop cheering, and nobody will remember what number you wore!!!

But there is coming a day when the only thing that matters is whether your NAME is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!!!

I don’t want to be known by a number associated with the mark of the beast!!! I want my NAME written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!!!

Revelation 21:27 (KJV) reminds us of those “which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

We spend so much of our lives trying to make a name for ourselves here on earth, but have we made sure our name is written in Heaven?

This week is Homecoming for these kids. There will be football, festivities, pictures, and memories made. But I reminded them this morning that there is another HOMECOMING coming one day!!!

And when that day comes, I don’t care what number I wore, what title I held, or how many people knew my name down here!!!

I just want Jesus to know my name!!!

Thank you to the students and everyone who allowed me to be part of this morning!!!

Sometimes you prepare a message to deliver to someone else, and the Good Lord ends up delivering one straight to your own heart!!!

Reach ONE of the 99!!! 🙏💜

It’s not about the number on your back. It’s about your NAME in the BOOK!!!

🛤️ Every journey begins with a choice.

We all face crossroads in recovery—moments when we can return to familiar habits or keep moving forward with God. When the road gets difficult, we need His guidance and people who will walk beside us.

Join us for Celebrate Recovery as we explore Crossroads and choosing to keep growing, one day at a time.
