🗣️ An announcement that’s a little uncomfortable, but one we have to make.

Insurance coverage and quality healthcare are not always the same thing. We will always recommend the care we believe is best for your health, and we’ll always be upfront about the cost.

One of the most common questions we receive is, “Why am I paying out of pocket?”

The answer is simple: Medicare and insurance carriers have limitations to their coverage. Some typically only cover a spinal adjustment (manipulation). For most patients, that portion of the visit takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. ‼️ Our typical visits range from 15-40 min, with assessment visits lasting an hour or so.

At our office, we believe getting you better requires more than just an adjustment. That’s why many visits also include services such as:

• Rehabilitation exercises
• Manual therapy and myofascial release
• Movement assessment and corrective exercise
• Ergonomic and biomechanical education
• Home exercise recommendations
• Dry needling

While these services are often essential to helping you move better, feel better, and stay better, some insurances generally do not cover them.

We explain this to you before your care and ask you to sign off on your understanding, then people still get upset when they are asked to pay for the services they received. We believe in being transparent about both your care and your costs. Our goal is always to provide the treatment that gives you the best outcome—not simply the treatment your insurance chooses to cover.
