We wanted to share some exciting news!

Jill(left) recently completed her Level A Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) course! After Jill completed the course, she made a donation to the DMI Children’s Foundation DMI Children's Foundation and was incredibly surprised and honored to win a full scholarship for another DMI certification course! 🎉

What is DMI? Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a comprehensive intervention used by physical and occupational therapists to support children with gross motor impairments and help them develop functional movement skills.

While Jill was thrilled about the opportunity, she realized that the scholarship could make an even greater impact by helping another therapist bring DMI to our area. She didn’t hesitate to ask if the scholarship could be transferred to Lexi(right), who is already incredibly gifted in working with children with gross motor impairments.

We are especially excited because our goal is not only to expand the availability of DMI in our community, but also to help make this type of therapy more accessible to families who are underserved or who may not otherwise be able to access a full DMI intensive program.

We are so grateful to Dynamic Movement Intervention and the DMI Children’s Foundation DMI Children's Foundation for creating opportunities like this that help therapists expand their training and, ultimately, bring more resources to children and families. 💕

Here’s to more therapists, more access, and more possibilities for our kids! 🌱

Therapy Tip Thursday!🎉
Do you have a picky eater? Consider taking them to one of these parks this summer for free lunch! Novelty is a great way to entice a picky eater to get out of their comfort zone… which is exactly what a brown bag lunch offers! Not to mention, it takes place in a low stress environment surrounded by peers. This scenario can increase the likelihood that your child will venture out and try new things! And if they don’t, it is NOT wasted food because every exposure is increasing their familiarity and giving them the opportunity to choose.
