Congratulations Scotty and Sam! Thank you for all you do for our community!
🚒 Recognizing Two Outstanding Members of Our Community 🚒
Today, the Middleton Fire Department had the privilege of presenting Sam Moore and Scotty Sipes with Citizen Commendation awards in recognition of their courage, compassion, and willingness to help others in a time of need.
On June 23, Sam and Scotty witnessed a serious motor vehicle accident involving a young woman in an overturned vehicle. Without hesitation, they stopped what they were doing and went to her aid, providing assistance until emergency responders could take over.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that this was not an isolated act. Members of our department have witnessed both of these men stop what they were doing and step forward to help during emergencies in our community on multiple occasions. They do not do it for attention or recognition. They simply see someone who needs help, and they help.
That kind of character deserves to be recognized.
On behalf of the officers and members of the Middleton Fire Department, we sincerely thank Sam and Scotty for their courage, compassion, and continued willingness to serve their neighbors when it matters most.
If you see Sam Moore or Scotty Sipes out and about, please take a moment to congratulate them, shake their hands, and show them a little extra appreciation. We are proud to have people like them in our community.
