We are so excited to introduce you to Dr Meredith Maxey!

Dr Maxey will be joining Advocate MD in September and working at our Fitchburg clinic!

Get to know Dr Maxey-
Hometown: New Richmond, Ohio (Small town to the east of Cincinnati)
Undergrad: Ohio University Honors Tutorial College
Med School: University of Cincinnati
Residency: Illinois Masonic in Chicago

Stuff Dr Maxey likes to do in her free time: Traveling, camping, swimming, and hiking. Avid reader. Spending time outside with her husband Travis and 2 kids.

Why did you choose Family Medicine?:
"My decision to practice Family Medicine came down to a few things. I knew I wanted to care for people of all ages, and I was drawn to primary care because of the continuity and relationships at its core. I also specifically appreciated that Family Medicine residency focuses so much on outpatient management. I know a lot of people in medical school were drawn to the hospital, but clinic is where I always saw myself. "

What you are looking forward to most about practicing Direct Primary Care at Advocate MD?
" What I’m most looking forward to in this new model is the time. Direct Primary Care removes the rush of the typical doctor’s office, which allows for a genuine, unhurried partnership. It also allows me to focus on being thorough and staying accessible when I am needed most. I’m excited to be joining a group of physicians at AdvocateMD who see medicine the same way I do."

Meet Dr Lauren Mixtacki MD

Hometown- Madison, WI (east side, attended LaFollette High School)

Undergrad - Winona State University in Minnesota
Med School - University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Residency - Waukesha Family Practice Residency Program

What Dr Mixtacki likes to do in her free time - Spending time with her husband Brian and kids exploring parks and having family adventures, cooking, arts and crafts, singing and listening to music, hiking, biking, camping, and playing volleyball.

Why Dr Mixtacki chose Family Medicine -"I believe that Family Practice is the heart of the medical system. I was drawn to the longstanding doctor-patient relationships, preventative focus, and spectrum of care that defines Family Medicine. I enjoy partnering with people of all ages and backgrounds across their lifespans and feel privileged to watch families grow and change over time. As a Primary Care Physician, I have the honor of serving not only as a doctor, but also as teacher, guide, and advocate."

What she is looking forward to most about practicing in a Direct Primary Care practice - "I am looking forward to having the time, space, and support to engage whole-heartedly in partnership with patients and families. I am excited to hear each patient's life story and explore the health questions that matter the most to them. We are sooo excited to announce the opening of our Advocate MD clinic in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
We are the first and only Direct Primary Care clinic serving the community of Sun Prairie.
Also, we would welcome you to our Open House that is being held May 21: 11:00-1:00pm, 4:00-6:00pm at 51 Tower Dr.
