Slow down, be with
This is my focus for the year—both personally and in my work as an OT with PTP families.
Life is full of to-do lists, schedules, and goals. It’s easy to let nonessential tasks feel urgent—like making sure the house is perfectly clean or checking off every work task right now.
But when we focus only on doing, we miss the opportunity to be with ourselves, our loved ones, and God.
Slowing down isn’t about avoiding tasks; it’s about allowing opportunities to truly connect. And when we do, we return to our responsibilities with a renewed perspective.
This is also how we approach OT. Connection and partnership with families has always been essential to what we do. To truly support you, we must listen and understand your families routines, strengths, challenges, and goals.
When we slow down and take the time to understand, we’re better equipped to help you move forward.
Will I be perfect at this? Surely not. Will it help guide me and ground me? Absolutely.
Who else is focusing on this? Let’s support each other in the journey!
