At the Warwick Donor Center, few donors are as familiar or dedicated as Peter Foss, who is approaching an incredible milestone of 250 platelet donations.
Peter first began donating whole blood decades ago, inspired by his father’s example and a lifelong belief in helping others whenever possible. Over time, he transitioned to platelet donation and quickly came to understand just how vital platelets are for cancer patients, including children undergoing treatment.
His motivation is also deeply personal. Years ago, Peter watched a friend’s son battle leukemia, an experience that left a lasting impact. He has also faced several serious health challenges of his own, experiences that strengthened both his gratitude for life and his commitment to giving back.
For Peter, donation is simply part of who he is. He often encourages others to donate, hoping to ease hesitation and show how meaningful the experience can be. He also values the relationships he has built with the Warwick team over the years, especially the familiar faces who have become part of his routine.
A proud husband and father of two, Peter approaches this milestone with the same humility and generosity that have defined his decades of giving. His story is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact one person can make through simple, consistent acts of kindness.
