IMPORTANT UPDATE: Compassion Counts has been postponed!

In a twist worthy of our event title, we’ve run into an unexpected source of stress & anxiety of our own—the location of tonight’s program, St. Francis parish hall, has a broken furnace. Parts have been ordered but they will not arrive in time for this evening’s event.

We all know we can’t avoid stress and anxiety entirely, but sometimes we can make decisions to prevent adding any unnecessary extra—and asking you to sit through the event in a freezing room felt like exactly that. So, we’re postponing the event to a new date (to be announced soon).

Thank you for your understanding—and for rolling with the irony right alongside us.

You won't want to miss this event! We will be there alongside other community partners.

Tune in tomorrow! MHRC Business Director, Travis Barker, and Gilead Community Services CEO, Dan Osborne, will be on Wesleyan Engage at 1pm. Listen live at 88.1FM or www.wesufm.org

From Engage Radio: “In this episode, we sit down with Dan Osborne, CEO of Gilead Community Services, and Travis Barker, Business Director of Gilead’s Mental Health Resource Center, for a conversation about what it really means to care for one another. From Gilead’s early beginnings in 1968 to the many lives touched in Middletown and beyond, they share stories of strength, recovery, and community connection. Through it all they have a simple but powerful message: 'People supporting people.'

Tune in for an inspiring discussion about how compassion builds stronger communities and how you, too, can be part of the love that keeps Gilead’s mission alive.”
