Michael O'Shae Winans

Michael O'Shae Winans, 71, of Fairfield Township, died on June 16, 2026 at Bethesda North Hospital. He was born on April 12, 1955 in Parkersburg, WV to Ray Richard and Coral Eileen (Riggs) Winans.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Concord College then worked as a recruiter in the steel industry. Mike was a great Jimmy Buffet fan.

Michael is survived by his wife, Phyllis Winans; brother, Eric (Miako) Winans and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sandy Greathouse and her husband, Bill and Beverly Sennett and her husband Roger.

In honor of Mike’s wishes there will be no services.

For generations, Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory has been woven into the history of Middletown and the families who call this community home.

In 1979, Wilson-Schramm celebrated an extraordinary milestone, marking 140 years as Middletown’s oldest business and a trusted name in funeral service.

That legacy continued in 1986 when Ron and Judy Spaulding purchased Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home, carrying forward a tradition built on compassion, dignity, and personal care.

In 1988, the funeral home became known as Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, reflecting the Spaulding family’s dedication to serving local families during life’s most difficult moments.

The tradition of family service continued in 2001 when Mark A. Spaulding joined his parents in the firm, helping continue a legacy of compassionate care that spans generations.

Today, we remain honored to serve Middletown families with the same commitment to trust, respect, and community that has defined our history for more than a century.

On Flag Day, we pause to honor the Stars and Stripes and the freedoms, sacrifices, and unity it represents. Observed each year on June 14, Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the American flag in 1777 and serves as a reminder of the generations who have served, protected, and sacrificed for our nation.

At Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, we especially remember the veterans, military families, and loved ones whose lives helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today. May we continue to honor the values of service, respect, and community that our flag represents.

Michael Lee Sullivan

Michael Lee Sullivan, 71, of Hamilton, died on June 10, 2026 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born on November 9, 1954 in Hamilton, OH to Henry P. and Lois (Steele) Sullivan.

He worked as a delivery driver for Butler County Lumber. Michael took a special interest in electronics and enjoyed setting up stage plays for churches and schools. He attended many concerts at Marcum Park.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Rachel Eddingfield; brother, Pat (Carol) Sullivan; nieces, Tammy Greve and Sarah Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Teddy Burggraf

Teddy W. Burggraf, 75, died on June 10, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1950, in Middletown, OH to George and Blanche (Soard) Burggraf.

After graduating from Springboro High School, Teddy proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was also a welder for CSX railroad. Teddy was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Teddy is survived by his brother, Terry (Joy) Burggraf; niece, Kelly (Rob) Kouba; nephews, Michael (Stacey) Burggraf and Daniel (Ashley) Burggraf and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara "Barb" Burggraf; sister, Judy Burggraf.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Grace Memorial Gardens 3023 N. Union Road, Franklin Township, OH 45005 with Pastor Ty Blake officiating. Military honors will be provided by Middletown Combined Honor Guard.

Interment will be at Grace Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Veteran’s Memorial Museum Fund, 121 S. Main Street, Germantown, OH 45327.

Phillip P. Kincaid

Phillip P. Kincaid, 84, of Middletown, died on June 8, 2026, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. He was born on June 5, 1942, in Middletown, OH to Lester and Opal (Williams) Kincaid.

He was a shift foreman at Armco Steel for 37 years retiring in 1999. He was a mail courier for 5 years after his retirement for First Financial Bank. Phil was a longtime member of The American Legion Post #218 and loved to travel.

Phillip is survived by his daughter, Kris Kincaid; son, Eric (Linda) Kincaid; brother, Doug (Beverly) Kincaid and special friend, Patty Tillman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy M. Kincaid.

Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Spaulding Funeral Home & Crematory, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, OH.

Memorial Service follows at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Linda M. Ponder

Linda M. Ponder, 78, of Hamilton, died on June 8, 2026, at Kettering Health Hamilton. She was born on July 3, 1947, in Hamilton, OH, to Oscar and Elfreda (Adams) Schlichter.

She was a computer and business teacher at Fairfield High School, retiring in 1974 to have her children. While raising her daughter and son she worked for McAlpins and Dillards. Linda was an avid bird watcher and feeder of wildlife, loved to read and collect books and enjoyed Coca Cola and sweets such as cookies and candy. She also loved music, especially Gary Allen, cheering on the Bengal and the Pacers, and traveling to Gatlinburg. Linda loved her dog Ziggy and sometimes loved her 40-year-old Parrot, Huey. Most of all, spending time with her family and her sisters brought her the most joy.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amy (Michael) Schneider; son, Kevin Ponder; her two sisters; grandchildren, Mikey Schneider, Noah Schneider, Faith Schneider, Hope Schneider, Grady Maenpa, Trent Ponder, Phoenix Ponder and Ellis Ponder along with the extended Ponder Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and soulmate, Wayne Ponder.

Deanie Phyllis Horn

Deanie Phyllis Horn, 86, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 8, 1939, in Kelat, Kentucky, to Oscar and Helen (Dennis) Spradling.

After graduating from Morgan High School, Deanie moved from Kentucky to Hamilton, Ohio. While working in the secretary pool at Ohio Casualty, she was introduced by her friends, Barb and Don Steins, to a young man from Forest, Ohio, who was attending Miami University to become a teacher. It was love at first sight. Following Stan's graduation, they were married on August 29, 1964, beginning a loving partnership that would span more than six decades.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 63 years, Stanley Dale Horn; her children, Susan McMurray, Deanna Cocina (Gus), and Dennis Horn (Jill); and her cherished grandchildren, Colton Wilmot, Ben Horn (Ashley Webb), Charlie Horn (Bailey Roy), Danny Horn, and Hope McMurray. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Ronald Horn; sisters-in-law, Betty Spradling, Carolyn Welsh, Gretchen Horn, and Rosalee Horn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Helen Spradling; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Max and Frances Spradling, Joe and Mary Ellen Spradling, Glen Spradling, Ron Welsh, and Warren Horn; her son-in-law, Dan McMurray; and her beloved grandson, John Horn.

Deanie devoted her life to caring for others. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mother until her children reached high school. She later worked as a bus driver for Fairfield City Schools before leaving that position to become the primary caregiver for her aging parents. Her family was always her greatest joy, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

A faithful and active member of her church, Deanie was known for her servant's heart and unwavering dedication to her church family. She was an active participant in the women's ministry, helping organize and prepare meals for more than 150 people on a regular basis. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to serve touched countless lives.

Together with her husband, she participated in several mission trips, most notably to Kenya and Argentina, sharing her faith and compassion with others around the world.

Her family was always the center of her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and devotion.

Deanie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and served so faithfully.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family's discretion.

Vada Lou Scianamblo

Vada Lou Scianamblo, 92, of Somerville, Ohio, passed from this life on June 5, 2026. Born in Bonny Blue, Virginia, she was the fourth of five children born to James S. and Perlina (Miller) Sizemore, September 26, 1933.

Vada was employed by Middletown City Schools, retiring in 2003. She loved gardening, homemaking and computers. Her great love was dancing with her husband, Angelo. They danced several times a week.

She is survived by her son, Trent E. Rodgers of Middletown, Ohio; grandchildren, Charles E. Rodgers, Richard (Nicole) Rodgers and Tina (Victor) Ikeda; a special niece, Emma Sue Torry and many other loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Perlina Sizemore; husband, Angelo V. Scianamblo; daughter, Carolyn; sons, Elbert and Rocky Rodgers; brothers, James Brewer, Thomas Sizemore and James Rayburn Sizemore; first husband, Elbert Rodgers; second husband, Richard Roby.

Graveside Service will be Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Miami Cemetery, 6379 Corwin Ave. Corwin, OH 45068 with Father John Civille officiating.

Interment will be at Miami Cemetery.
