Happy Friday everyone! We hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far. It is hard to believe it will be August soon and then school will be starting back.

We strive to show kindness, compassion, and care for our patients as though you are family, because to us, you are. Hopefully we succeed, but we are human and we know we fail at times. We don't want that to happen, as we always want to be the place you feel safe and secure coming to and that you feel the care is genuine. I have received a few complaints recently when we have failed and I truly appreciate the feedback. We can't get better if we don't know. We have a friendly challenge going on now with the staff that they be extra friendly and kind to our patients, so you all know how much we care. If you happen to get "extraordinary" treatment by a staff member, I would love to hear about it. Please feel free to ask to speak with me while in the office or give me a call. You can ask for Michelle. I will happily share your comments. If we are still failing in a certain area, I want to hear that too. Please let me know so I can address it and we can fix it.

Dr. Reina delivered our 15 year old daughter, our 3 year old daughter, and our newborn baby boy on Monday. We are so grateful for him, and what he has done for our family!

Emily had this to say: My daughter Jemma just turned 5 on June 19th who was delivered by Dr. Boyce! I went in to be induced on a Thursday night and spent most of my time there with Dr. Reina until Saturday morning when Dr. Boyce came on and our sweet little 6 pounds 12 oz baby girl was born.

My Son will be 3 August 18th who was delivered by Dr. Andrew. I was induced with him as well but he was ready to come out. Went in on a Saturday morning and out came our precious 8 pound baby boy that evening. I could not thank Dr. Andrew enough for his care during this time. Truly an amazing doctor!

Thank you also for the sharing and the wonderful things you have to say about our physicians! We agree that they are the best!!

HEAL walk is this Saturday, June 27. Rain or shine we will be there. The stones are painted and ready to bag up. The walk begins at the Atrium Family YMCA and concludes at the HEAL Garden on Atrium's hospital campus. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the walk takes place at 10 a.m. So many people have put so much into planning this walk. Please plan on attending if you have been impacted by the loss of a baby, child, grandchild, loved one, etc. This is such a wonderful program that has helped so many deal with something no one ever wants to have to face. Hilltop is, and has been, a huge supporter of this program for many, many years.

Mark your calendar for the HEAL Walk to Remember on Saturday, June 27. Our staff is painting the rocks again this year and will be at the event passing them out and some are also helping with face painting. This organization is so near and dear to us as it has helped so many of our patients during an extremely difficult time.

Join Atrium Medical Center Foundation later this month for our annual HEAL Walk to Remember on Saturday, June 27. The walk begins at the Atrium Family YMCA and concludes at the HEAL Garden on Atrium's hospital campus. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the walk takes place at 10 a.m.

HEAL (Help Endure a Loss) is a unique program that provides free bereavement counseling and support services to families grieving the loss of a child.
