I am SO EXCITED to report that we have had our first “north region” birth!! Everyone knows I moved to Maryland, but the first birth up here actually wound up being in West Virginia! This first time mom approached pregnancy and birth with an unwavering positivity and embraced each step of the process as an exciting adventure. Watching her discover the joys and challenges of labor and birth with the steady support of her husband and mother by her side was an absolute joy. We are honored to have been trusted to accompany them on their sacred journey. Welcome to the world, baby H!

Sometimes life slows you down and sends you in a different direction.

This message could not have been more clear than it was when I came across this spot on the road on my first day seeing Three Rivers clients in Maryland. It felt so good to be back to sitting with mothers (and introducing myself to their tiny babies). It’s such a treat to be able to explore the area (today was Montgomery County) with such a special calling.

🎉🥳BREAKING NEWS!!!!! 🥳🎉

After a few steps down the wrong path, a lot of soul searching and contemplation, and a few months of sleep, I have decided that:

I AM RE-LAUNCHING MY PRACTICE IN MARYLAND!!!

To those of you who said “I’m not worried” or “we know you’ll be back soon” …. You were right! This work is a calling that cannot be denied. It’s who I am, it’s what I do, so here we go!

Starting IMMEDIATELY, I will be accepting clients within about an hour radius of Frederick MD (including northern VA) for prenatal care and home birth - ALL DUE DATES OPEN!!
