It's National Pharmacy Week and we're celebrating our incredible Pharmacy team and the important role they play in keeping our patients safe! From ensuring medications are used safely and effectively to supporting patient care across the hospital, our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians make a difference by caring boldly every day.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, team members from our Comprehensive Breast Center introduced an innovative new way to bring colleagues together: our first-ever Breast Imaging Open House! The team hosted two early-morning sessions at different locations—one at our Outpatient Center in Middletown and another at Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook—to accommodate physicians’ and advanced practice providers’ busy schedules.

At each session, physicians and APPs got a hands-on look at breast imaging exams, biopsy procedures and the technology behind the care their patients receive. Through interactive demonstrations and conversations with our breast imaging team and breast surgeons, attendees gained a deeper understanding of the diagnostic process and how we work together to support patients every step of the way.

Over the weekend, cancer survivors joined our Cancer Center team for a hike at Chatfield Hollow State Park!

Beyond enjoying the fall foliage and getting some fresh air, the hike gave survivors a chance to connect with others who understand their journey, share experiences and find support in one another. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a meaningful day on the trails! 🍂

As the protein maxxing trend exploded in popularity, options have popped up at restaurants, grocery stores and cafes, including Dunkin and Starbucks.

We recently partnered with Close to Home for our 13th annual Middlesex Health Sew-A-Thon! 🪡

Volunteers came together to sew hospital gowns for hospice patients and create pillows that offer added comfort and support during a difficult time. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and talents to support patients in our community. It’s one of the many ways we show what it means to Care Boldly! 💙 Close to Home Stores

Healthy aging starts with knowledge, connection, and compassionate care!

We were pleased to support Healthy Aging Week at Covenant Living in Cromwell through an engaging presentation and conversations at the Healthy Aging Fair.

Millicent Malcolm, DNP, APRN, one of our Certified Geriatric Care Professionals, presented “Healthy Aging—How to Get There and How to Stay There.” From mobility and nutrition to mind and safe environments, she shared habits for living well and answered thoughtful questions from residents.

At the fair, our team shared health care insights, answered questions, and connected with familiar faces. We especially appreciated hearing residents’ kind words about Dr. Siegal and Dr. Seyller, who provides primary care office hours at Covenant Living, and about the care they receive at our Cromwell Medical building.

Thank you to Millicent, our Middlesex Health team, and everyone who joined us. We’re honored to support healthy aging in this wonderful community!
