When Linda Heidorn felt chest pressure during a walk, she assumed it was stress.

Instead, she was having a heart attack.

Thanks to quick action, expert care, and a team that took her symptoms seriously, Linda received a lifesaving diagnosis and treatment at Middlesex Health.

Now, she’s sharing her story to raise awareness about women’s heart health and remind others not to ignore symptoms that may seem minor. “Had the team sent me home that night, I might not be here today to say thank you.”

Women can experience heart attack symptoms differently than men, including fatigue, shortness of breath, and subtle chest discomfort. If something doesn’t feel right, seek medical attention.
