Please join us in celebrating Brittney Garza, one of our Interventional Radiology Techs, for going above and beyond for a patient during one of the hardest moments of her life.

During a procedure that turned out to be far more painful than expected, this patient asked if Brittney could come hold her hand. Brittney didn't hesitate, she was at her side almost instantly, holding her hand, encouraging her to squeeze as hard as she needed, and cheering her on every step of the way: "You've got this... Almost done... You're doing great!"

The patient later shared that Brittney felt like a younger sister in that moment, a moment that changed her life, as it was the day she learned she had cancer.

That's what Being Excellent Everyday looks like: showing up with compassion when it matters most, and making sure every patient feels cared for as a person, not just a procedure.
