Fun Fact Friday:

ABA in the workplace is called OBM (organizational behavior management).

The workplace uses it to improve staff performance, productivity and safety.

They use ABA principles such a reinforcement, ABC analysis and look at data driven metrics to help them find incentive programs and management structures that work. In return it helps increase productivity, safety compliance, employee retention, and business outcomes.

Myth Monday ABA edition:

Myth: ABA is only for people diagnosed with Autism (ASD)

⭐️ABA can be used for a variety of diagnosis.

⭐️It can be used in different context for ASD, developmental disabilities, businesses/ workplace (OBM), health, sports and even fitness.

⭐️ABA can be used for both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals to both build (increase) the frequency of new skills and reduce (decrease) the frequency of challenging or unwanted behaviors.

The kids at BF Autism center worked on getting crafty and into the Halloween spirit while making a skeleton craft this week

They worked on:

💀match to sample
☠️following verbal instructions
💀fine motor skills (cutting/writing/ folding)
☠️creativity (designing their skeleton)
💀communication (to one another )
☠️waiting (for the next step)
