Our Outpatient Clinical Team and our Community Liaisons recently met with Amy Benson and Lynsy Woody with the Ector County ISD's Counseling Department to discuss how Oceans can be a resource for the staff, families and youth experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

We’re proud to serve youth ages 13–17 and provide support during challenging times when families may not know where to turn. Our clinical team includes two social workers who were formerly teachers, bringing valuable experience and a unique understanding of the needs of students, families, and educators.

Our amazing outpatient clinical team is also here to provide continued support, including:

- Medication management
- Individual therapy and group therapy
- Support for youth and families navigating behavioral health challenges while they are in school.

Oceans Behavioral Hospital - Permian Basin had a wonderful day connecting with the residents and staff at The Parks Senior Living!

We had the opportunity to talk about Oceans’ inpatient and outpatient services and, most importantly, the importance of prioritizing our mental health as we age. Mental wellness is an essential part of overall health at every stage of life.

A special thank you to Shawna Johnson, Director of Sales, for graciously hosting Oceans for your Coffee and Pastries event. We truly enjoyed spending time with everyone and appreciate the warm welcome!

And we want to give a big shout-out to the lovely and vivacious best friends, Jeri and Amy! You asked the best questions, brought such wonderful energy, and kept us laughing throughout the morning.

Happy International Youth Day!

This week, we had the opportunity to celebrate International Youth Day, acknowledging the strength, potential, and bright futures of young people in our communities. 💙

We were honored to spend time with Ector County Juvenile Probation, who had the opportunity to meet our Oceans outpatient clinical team and learn more about the services we provide to adolescents.

At Oceans Healthcare, we believe every young person deserves access to compassionate, specialized behavioral health care. Our Adolescent Outpatient Program serves youth across the Permian Basin, providing support designed to help adolescents navigate mental health and emotional challenges while building the skills they need to thrive.

Partnerships with organizations like Ector County Juvenile Probation are so important. When we work together, we can help connect youth and families with the right resources and support when they need it most.

Here’s to investing in our youth, strengthening our communities, and helping every young person see a future full of possibility. 💙

Last month, we held a hygiene drive in support of Senior Day at the Midland Baptist Crisis Center, and last week, our Marketing Team had the opportunity to deliver the collected hygiene kits!

This initiative reflects an important part of our outpatient program: supporting the whole person, at every stage of life. For older adults, access to basic necessities like hygiene products can have a meaningful impact on dignity, confidence, and overall well-being, all important components of mental health.

We’re proud to support our community beyond the walls of our hospital and to help promote dignity, connection, and mental wellness for older adults.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this effort possible!

A special thanks to our community partners: Michelle Martinez, Executive Director of Midland Baptist Crisis Center, Senior Life Midland (Foster Grandparent Program), Express Nursing and Trinity Personal Assistant Services for serving, supporting, and strengthening the lives of older adults in our community. 💙
